We used Lotus Foods Organic Forbidden Rice in these cute bento boxes for a wellness retreat’s snack break! the rice has great consistency and holds its shape well. it’s filling and has almost a little bit of a chew to it. great for forbidden fried rice as well!

This is an easy rice to love. It has a sweet nutty flavor, packs a large nutritious punch, and is organic.My family eat this rice about twice, every other week.The reason I gave this product only 4 stars is the packaging is plastic and not recyclable or reusable. I just wish the company was more eco-friendly about all the plastic they use in their packaging. When I can get it in bulk, and for go the plastic I do, but it is hard to find.Red and purple rice varieties have higher total phenolics, flavonoids and antioxidant activity than those of light colored varieties, such as white and brown varieties, making them very healthy.
