This Lodge cast iron skillet is really good. I have the 10 inch one. Cooking with a cast iron definitely takes a little practice. But is worth it, it’s healthier. Non toxic no chemicals, can even add a little extra iron into your diet. Very sturdy.

This is a great size skillet that was made in the United States. The maker has been around for over a century so I trust that my pans are made right. This is super heavy and strong plus durable. It has a main handle and smaller helper handle for when I need to pick this up while it is loaded with breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It is thick and I have to be patient while I preheat it being cast iron and not a thinner metal pan. It also keeps the heat in for a good amount of time after turning off the stove. This has been well seasoned over the years. It is used daily and stays on the stove daily, even when not being used. When my large family comes to visit, I put this to work. It evenly cooks my food. If I wanted to bake something in the oven in here, I can. I keep food in the oven to stay warm in this pan and it doesn’t ruin my big Lodge cast iron skillet.

Ideal for everyday cooking. Very high maintainability to clean daily. Very sturdy and heavy. Not the best for those whom may have arthritis or prone to pain from heavy items. It makes food taste amazing the more you season it. Always best to use the silicon holder plus a heat towel as well when handling as cooking. Great source of iron too. Non toxic cooking.
