I’m kind of shocked more people don’t mention the scent of this product in their reviews. The scent is so completely and uniquely bad that it literally haunts me. Just thinking about it makes me feel gaggy. Oh, it works. It plumps lips and makes them peachy colored. That doesn’t matter! It’s like applying raw sewage to your lips. I’m such a beauty product fanatic that, at first, I thought I could tough it out to get the benefits. No. Nope! Honestly, maybe it’s just me and I’m super sensitive to the smell of it, but I’m not usually like that. When I read reviews where people mention a product I like smells bad I often think “Light weight! Wuss! Beauty is pain!”, but this one is different. Just typing this is making me feel a little nauseated because I’m remembering the smell. Two stars because it does work though. Better than any other decent smelling lip plumping product.

There’s a couple cons but mostly pros: Pros: - it works! Saw plumpness from the first use but the first week, it didn’t last more than 20-30 min. But, after a few weeks of using 2x daily, the plump lasted all day. - painless. Yes there’s a tingle but it’s not uncomfortable. No burning or stinging. - easy, smooth texture. Oily like texture keeps lips moisturized for a couple hours - natural tint. great for natural look, although doesn’t last too long. Cons: - the smell. I don’t know how to describe it. But it’s bad. And since you’re putting it on your lips, which unfortunately is below your nose… be prepared. This is why it’s 4 instead of 5 stars. - bottle leaks somehow. Maybe my bottle is defective but each time I shake it, the outside of the bottle gets soaked. So, I’ve never been able to take it on vacation and depending on how long, I’ve lost “progress” on this regime. - must be last step of regime!!! I put this on while waiting for serum to soak in and then I guess I accidentally rubbed some onto my cheek when I put moisturizer on afterward. Oops! Big mistake! - at the beginning, the redness is not local to just the lips. No matter how careful I was applying, I would get redness on the surrounding area of my lips all the way up to my nose. Not cute so make sure to budget 20-30 minutes before you leave the house. Bummer since this has to be the last step of the routine (or be VERY careful applying skincare) All in all, expectations need to be adjusted for some people. This isn’t several syringes worth of lip filler in a bottle. The plumpness I saw during the time of application was probably about the size my lips ended up at after diligent 2x daily use. My lips did not continue to get more plump each time I used the product, what it did was make the plumpness last longer (from only 20 min to the 24 hours between applications) Regarding lip size, they kind of “filled out.” I had realistic expectations so this was fine with me. I originally was looking for a product to help reduce tiny vertical lines I was seeing, and it did all that and more.
