They’re super versatile and can be used for pretty much anything. I’ve used them to make mini cheesecakes and had great success with them. They’re also great for serving as the ceramic retains heat very well. They can also be used to hold things when at the dining table such as being a salt container or sauce container.

These mini cocottes are so adorable, it’s hard to resist them even when you have no uses in mind for them! I did use them to make oeufs en cocotte, and they did a beautiful job. My only complaint is that it can be difficult to take the lids off when they’re hot because of the tiny knob. Even with heat proof gloves instead of oven mitts.
