When #latherskincare sent me their White Clay Deep Pore Cleansing Mask, I was excited. The name alone ticks all the things I want a mask to do and where to do it. The mask, upon opening, has a dry and waxy texture. It has an eggshell white color and is not fragrant. It is free of parabens, sulfates, mineral oil and synthetic fragrance and colors.
Made for oily and acne-prone skin types, it has pure white clay to stimulate circulation and exfoliate the skin. It also contains bentonite clay to remove oil and impurities and aloe and algae extract to soothe irritated skin.
Upon use, you can really feel that your skin is cleansed. It can leave a feeling of dryness and tightness right after rinsing so I don't recommend this for those with dry to normal skin types. Combination skin types can use this on the oily areas of your face. I use this twice a week before but limited my use to once a week when the temperature started dropping. Results were consistent - you will feel cleansed and purified. Recommended to use a facial oil or a moisturizer, like their shine control face lotion, afterwards.
