If you like peat, what other scotches would you recommend? I think Bruichladdich Peat is wonderful too!

Bruichladdich was bought out by Remy Cointreau- their peat whisky is now under Port Charlotte name. If you like peat based hebridean whisky, then check out Bowmore and Lagavulin

Kilchoman is a nice, light alternative as well.

If you're going to go on the cheaper end, The Glenlivet 12 Years Old Single Malt is pretty good and reasonably priced at the LCBO. In my opinion, it's just as good as Balvenie Doublewood and that stuff costs about $85! It has become horribly overpriced in the last couple of years so I shied away from it but it's a great one for newbies :)

You could also try the cask strength of Laphroaig.

Lagavulin is another great peaty single malt, very smooth. Most single malts from Islay are peaty.
