Later, Kraft marshmallow business (including Jet-Puffed marshmallows) was sold to Favorite Brands International in 1995. Nabisco purchased Favorite Brands International in 1999 and Kraft Foods later purchased Nabisco in 2000, returning Jet-Puffed marshmallows to Kraft. While they have similar consistencies and flavor there is one notable difference between creme and fluff. Creme contains cream of tartar while fluff does not, making it ideal for use in fudge. What is a substitute for marshmallow cream? You can make marshmallow cream by melting down marshmallows with corn syrup. Campfire. The winner and champion of the marshmallow showdown are Campfire brand marshmallows. Today the manufacturing of marshmallows is quite different. Mallow root sap has been replaced by gelatin. Corn syrup, starch, sugar and water are mixed with the gelatin. The fluffy mixture is piped through long tubes and then cut into equal pieces.

I love this stuff! My favorite way to eat it is to first make me some chocolate malt o meal and then while it's still hot, I add plenty of this marshmallow fluff!
