So much flavor in such a small package. I love making chicken noodle soup with these. I only have to add a small amount of seasoning and that's mostly because of frozen veggies. I love love love these.

I always prefer to use my own chicken stock and add my own spices but this is perfect for those times I run out or don't have much time!!! They really add flavor to the dish and are not overwhelmingly salty. Perfect combo of flavor!

I have been using this stock for awhile now. I really like that I know it is "fresh" and I think it has excellent flavor. I use this mostly with soups and chicken and noodles and feel like it has a lot more flavor than the boxed or canned broths at the store. My only wish is that I could find it in a lower sodium option. The Beef and vegetable flavors are good too, if I can find them.

Knorr is a good brand! This homestock is no exception. When I need to make a quick chicken soup this is my go to. Also it’s great to add to my vegetable stir fry’s with a bit of soy sauce. Very delicious

partner enjoys a good, hearty meal for lunch, but his workplace doesn’t have a
canteen and only has limited kitchen facilities. So he usually makes meals in
bulk at the beginning of the week, cooks them at home and reheats them in the
microwave at work. One of his favourites is turkey and chicken chilli and when
he was making a big batch of this, it seemed the ideal time to try out Knorr
Chicken Stock Pots.

thought the packaging for the product was quite distinctive and would be easy
to spot on the shelf because the box is quite an unusual shape, thanks to its
rounded-off corners. I thought it was nice that you could see one of the stock
pots through space in the lower right hand corner. I like knowing precisely
what I’m buying before I get to the checkout and this would help me make a
buying decision. I was happy to note that the cardboard packaging and the
plastic pots that contained the stock were recyclable (with the exception of
the peel-off lid). However, I found Marco Pierre White’s face on the back of
the box a bit off-putting, as he didn’t look very happy at being associated
with the brand. The cardboard box opened easily and the seal on the top of the
plastic pot didn’t tear to shreds when I removed it, which is unusual for this
kind of hygiene seal.

I opened the small plastic pot, I saw a thick, jellified stock that was light
brown in colour, with visible flecks of seasoning. It gave off a strong, chickeny
aroma. It was a bit tricky to get the stock out of plastic tub and I used a
teaspoon to remove it in the end. After adding the stock to the mixture of
chicken, turkey, pulses, garlic, chopped tomatoes in their own juice and
additional dried herbs, the jellified stock gradually melted, without leaving
any residue and was absorbed into the mixture. Once the chilli was cooked, I
couldn’t honestly say that it noticeably enhanced the flavour of the chicken.
But on reflection, I think this was perhaps the wrong recipe to try the product
with, as there are already so many distinct flavours vying for attention. However,
I did notice that the stock reduced well and there was no need to add
thickening agents at the end of the cooking process, as is occasionally the
case. I think if I were to use the product in the future, I would do so in a
dish where chicken was the overriding flavour. I would count it a moderate
success in the recipe I was making.

I was a little concerned by the amount of salt in the
Stock Pots. I usually only add salt to taste once the food is on the plate, but
I noticed that every 100ml of stock made from the product contains 14% of an
adult’s daily salt intake. So I would avoid it if you are on a low sodium diet.
At around £1.46 for four pots, I think the product is decent value for money,
especially as I frequently see it at a reduced price or as part of multi-buy
offers. I think I might use it in future, if only as a change from my usual
stock cubes.
