This is a good quality charcoal when you are in a hurry and don't want to wait for the traditional process of lighting the charcoal briquettes. I like the traditional Kingsford charcoal as well but it takes a little while to light up the chimney and wait for the charcoals to reach in ashy point to spread into the grill. This cuts off about 10 or 15 minutes of time and allows you to fast track to getting the starting to do what you love most; grilling. Since there's no lighter fluid used you don't have to worry about tasting lighter fluid in your food. Once it's lit it performs just as good as original Kingsford.
