Kevyn Aucoin The Powder Mirrored Compact
BEAUTIFUL highlighter for us fair gals! It goes on like a dream with little kickback! The only thing I don't like is the price because there are other highlighters that are just as gorgeous and cheaper. I got this as a present and it's the only reason I own it.
This is one of the very best contouring powders I have found for pale or pink-toned / cool-toned skin. This shade is universal, but it's one of the few I've found that work on porcelain skin just as well as it does on darker or warmer skin tones. While most other contour powders give an orange cast when used on a cool skin tone, this powder is the perfect blend of color so that it appears to be a "shadow" and not a "dirty smudge" when used as a contour. I did remove one star because I feel that the quantity of product received is far too little for the price.. the compact is extremely small. While I do acknowledge that a little of this product goes a long way once it's blended, I find that it is easy to go through quite a lot of the product the first time it is purchased, while the user is learning to contour. I suggest that you practice with the cheaper contour kits before using this!
I'll be 100% honest. I picked up this baby during dermstore's 30% off Sale and got it for around $24. For THAT price I am absolutely crazy in love with this powder. I would buy it all day everyday for that price and never think twice. But if I was paying $44 for it.... I'm not sure that I would. It's great and all, but it's too little of product for that price. See if you can catch it for 35 or less, THE purchase it!
Works great you works fantastic people she start using it and being happy with the way he works in the way it moves on people and light doesn't quit coughing it just works easy to put on easy to work with I do it all the time I'm going to buy it doesn't it doesn't kick off when you need it
Love this for contouring. It's not a "muddy" look. It's subtle enough to look natural, but string enough to define. It's my favorite contouring powder. Love that you can build with it, and that it flatters my skin tone so well. Might be a bit pricey for some, but it is quality product. Highly recommended!
Love this. I'm fairly light, and this is the most perfect shade of contour color ever. It's not a warm tone at all, which is extremely important in contouring since you're mimicking a shadow. It's really smooth and blends well. It's super pigmented as well, so a little goes a long way.
This is the best contour product I have found for my cool toned skin. It resembles a real shadow and not just a muddy bronzer look, it blends easily, and it lasts a fairly long time. I've had it about 1 year now without hitting pan. The only con is the price at 45 dollars, I think some people could benefit from buying a contour kit that comes with several shades for less money, but only if the other shades will actually suit their skin tone. If not, this product is worth the splurge.
Why does anyone else bother making contouring powder? This is absolute most flattering shade I have found, and the formulation of this is spectacular. It is well blendable and you only need a very small amount of product. It is rather pigmented, so use a light hand!
I love this I just don't love the price. It's the perfect ashy contour color. It blends easily and a little goes a long way. I bought mine in Kevyn Aucoin's the contour book volume II (the red cases one). I'm absolutely in love with everything in it.
Q & A
I'm still trying to find the perfect contouring shade. The ones I have are too gold/orange for my skin tone. Would this be a good shade for fair skin? And does it stay on all day?
What do you ladies think of this product?
Just wondering if this product ends up looking muddy? I've tried so many contour powders and they've all ended up looking muddy and orange. I'm hoping I'll have better luck with this one...
