I had the grey/stone color of this polish from kendra, and it was great. the application was easy, finish was smooth, drying time was normal. overall 4.7/5

The Kendra Scott Gem Inspired Nail Lacquer line truly is gorgeous down to the High End Brand packaging, intricate and unique gem stone designed bottles, to the beautiful range of dazzling, shimmering colors all made to look like you are wearing Kendra Scott’s Jewelry and gems on your fingertips. I have the Rose Gold Metallic shade and find it very pretty as it really does give off a lovely gem-like shine and is a neutral yet gorgeous color that works for all occasions. The packaging and bottle are no doubt one of a kind, but that is about where it ends for me. You are very much paying for the brand name and highly designed packaging at $16-$18 a bottle. Yes, it is a shimmering lovely nail polish, but it doesn’t have any attributes I find worth the price tag over other more affordable brands unless you just like High End Brand Names. I have never really been a labels person and find this nail polish to be pretty equivalent to brands half the price that have almost identical shades and colors. It doesn’t have anything matching the price point that may make it more desirable such as lasting longer without chipping than other nail products, higher quality polish that dries quicker or has a unique brush for better application, etc. except for the brand name. The Rose Gold Metallic goes on fairly light and therefore requires multiple coats, which tends to be normal for a more shimmery finish nail polish. However you are having to use the same amount for a full finish as perhaps a cheaper alternative, so it also makes the expensive price point even harder to get behind. It is a gorgeous nail polish and it works just as it should, with wonderfully designed packaging, but is the same quality polish as so many other more affordable nail polish brands out there. It’s fun to have as a pretty bottle, but for actually painting nails, there are more reasonable price options for the same outcome. Though I will say, bonus points for Kendra Scott Nail Lacquer for NOT testing on animals!
