Pros and cons to this pack. Additional storage and rain fly are great. Knowing now, I wish this pack had foot stirrups for the little one to relieve some pressure from her hips. [product:kelty-pathfinder-3.0-child-carrier-legion-blue]Also, not the most comfortable pack for smaller carriers. The bottom rest hits low on my bottom and is a little awkward however fits my husband much better (I am 4’11”). Generally good carrier!

My family & I love to hike & be outside. We have a carrier that our son could be carried front or back but there were drawn backs to both way of carrying him. Front, limited our field of view (can't see where we're walking) & back he hated because he couldn't see. We decided to get the Kelty Pathfinder 3.0- one of the best things we've bought! It's essentially a backpack that has a waist strap and a clip at the chest. These both of these features help reduce the weight on your back. It also has pocket for a hydration pack underneath the baby's feet, a sun/rain roof, & a small changing station. The back bag part of it detaches. The child is restrained with over the shoulder harness so they don't fall out. It's apparently very comfy for kids as my 11 month falls asleep in it all the time. With our old carrier we would start to feel his weight badly after a hour or so with this we were outside hiking for 4 hours with no problem! It runs in the mid $200 range, we'll worth every penny!
