3 reviewsI was excited to try this product bc I have extremely dry skin, and it looks nourishing and moisturizing without being greasy. I ordered a mini stone from Sephora online since they’re not sold in stores, and made sure to be home when it was to be delivered since I live in Louisiana and it said online to bring it inside immediately upon delivery if it’s 94 degrees or hotter outside. The UPS carrier hand delivered the box to me and when I got inside and opened it it was melted beyond repair but I still put it in the refrigerator like recommended to see if it was salvageable…it was not so I contacted Sephora and they sent a replacement. When I met the FedEx carrier outside two days later to get the package from him, there was liquid leaking out of the Sephora box and upon opening it I could see that the entire Kate McLeod box was soaked in oil. When I opened the product box the linen cloth that is wrapped around the stone was full of oil and had no shape to it and no solid inside of it. The entire stone had completely melted before ever even being delivered. The product is shipped via FedEx or UPS on non-reefer trucks/trailers (no a/c on trailer to keep products at room temp), so if you live in the south like I do, there’s no way to get this product during the summer months bc it’ll be completely melted from riding in the carrier trucks and ruined long before it ever makes it to your door. I’ll probably try to buy it again in the winter so I can actually receive a stone, instead of liquid oil, and see if it helps me with my dry skin.
I’ve been patient and tried for a month now to love this product as it seems convenient and reviews recommend, but I am bluntly honest with my reviews and this is simply not worth it.
-$12 for a mini item which works equivalent to a drug store moisturizer that can cost you $8 for a large bottle.
-SO SO small: I will compare to a regular exfoliating pad on image (image is from when I first got it)
-As much as I tried, it does not melt easily nor spread far ways, and it does not remain soft for repeated use once it’s warm, it immediately hardens up.
Only pro would be the scent as it is fresh, but other than that, you’re better off spending money in another soap.
These pebbles are great. They have a little fix to them like a bath bomb almost so you can put them in your bath water or use them in a cloth to rub on your body. They leave your skin super moisturized and feeling so silky. I love them. I have the daily pebbles and the sleep pebbles both have a different scent and work amazing.
