Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation
I've only used the old version of this before she repackaged it. I like it. The coverage is great and it doesn't feel too heavy. The issue I have is it can get cakey very easily if you accidentally use to much donut is not buildable. I want to try the new one. Maybe it'll be an improvement.

I really liked this foundation but would only recommend this for night. I have combination skin and it can dry you out without proper moisturization or face prepping. It’s pretty heavy and thick and can look cakey if you don’t prime your face and set the foundation correctly. But it’s still long lasting and doesn’t move!

I wanted so badly to love this foundation, however, I have dry skin and it made my dryer areas look patchy. I liked the way it felt after being applied, but I wouldn’t recommend for dry skin. It is very full coverage though and I really liked that about it! I would give it another chance after possibly finding a better primer to pair with it.

My favorite foundation. I have yet to have a problem with this one! The coverage is amazing.. I use 4 pumps (less than with any other foundation) bc I like a full coverage look. I have a face of freckles & it covers them evenly. It holds up great throughout the day & does not break apart.

This is the only foundation I use! I trust & love this foundation so much because my skin can literally be oily one day & the next day be dry & patchy but it works perfectly with either or. Also, I’m a full coverage girl so this goes BEYOND my expectations. I love love love this & recommend everyone to try it out or even ask for a sample 🙂

I like a full coverage foundation, and this fit the bill. When it's humid though... it gets cakey and slips off. Even with primer, powder, and setting spray. I would not purchase again.
This is my holy grail foundation at the moment , I usually don’t like to spend a lot of money on foundation bc I know I won’t use the same one for long but I’ve used this foundation every time I do my makeup since I bought it.
I love Kat and all her products! However, this foundation is not my fav. I love the feel, the colors, and the coverage. I love the packaging and the pump dispenser. I did notice though that after a few hours of wear this foundation becomes patchy. Even if I have exfoliated I still have trouble.
This foundation is great it covers up everything haha literally the only not so good about it if you don’t apply it well it does make your face look cakey but if you do your face will look incredibly amazing just make sure to find the right shade since they do have more of an orange tone
Q & A
What is the best way to apply? fingers? brush? beauty blender?
Okay, I've been eyeing this for a while but I just don't want to buy a high end foundation again and be as disappointed as I was with the Too Faced Born This Way 😩 I have oily, acne prone, combination skin with a super dry nose. I have a lot of redness from acne and so on and I want something that covers it all instantly! I want something that stays matte all day, with or without primer, and doesn't melt off no matter the weather. I am super light (like ghost light) as well with a yellow undertone and wonder if they have any good shades. Does it oxidize? Does it wear off around the nose? Can you apply it both with a Beauty Blender and a brush? Would you say this is a foundation for me?
Does this foundation come on very thick?
I have Rosacea, would this be able to cover up my rosy red cheeks?
I really want to give this foundation a try and I have been hearing mixed reviews. Is this product worth the money or should I try something different?
