Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation
I did not like this at all. I’m very oily and this made me look like an actual cake face. I tried this with so many different moisturizers and primers and still couldn’t get this to work. I used hardly any product and still it would end up caking. Way too heavy. If this caked on my oily skin idk who would be able to use this
When I was a newbie to the makeup world, I tried this foundation and hated it. I gave it another go recently after receiving a complimentary bottle and like it much more. My only issue with this foundation is that it can look cakey if not applied correctly. In the past, I tried applying this over a mattifying primer which just didn’t work. I now moisturize my face beforehand, mix one pump of this foundation with a drop of Dr. Brandt’s Pores No More Luminizing Primer and dab onto my face with a buffing brush. I then take my Beauty Blender and blot my face to pick up any excess product, then set with Laura Mercier’s Translucent Setting Powder. A little goes a long way with this product so I definitely recommend starting small then building up extra coverage if you really need it. I have oily skin so I do still have to blot my face halfway through the day, but overall this foundation delivers as promised and will last you all day. This is definitely more of a night out product for me rather than daily use but great for anyone looking for a full coverage foundation that doesn’t budge.

This foundation is perfect for any occasion. It has full coverage for that perfect smooth look and stays on all day so you don’t have to worry about it running off in the middle of the day. I usually have troubles with foundation making my skin break out but do not have that issue with this product. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a perfect, lightweight, full cover look.

I received this product complimentary to review and oh my gosh! It truly only takes two pea size drops to get full, matte coverage that lasts. It isn't too heavy, but its definitely not lightweight. That being said, I have combination skin and it didn't stick to my dry parts. I would definitely recommend this product.
Full coverage heaven! Yassssssss it will cover any and every thing! It doesn’t feel heavy on your face either! It’s priced in a normal range for foundation! If you want full coverage this is a good one!
I got this from influenster for free and I was not disappointed! It blends so well with foundation! I used a couple drops and mixed it with a drop of lotion and it gave a light coverage as opposed to a full coverage. I’ve never used such a dull coverage foundation before, I was so impressed! I will be purchasing this again!

This is one of my absolute favorites! The coverage is full and amazing. I usually like to go for a dewy finish so I loved how it wasn’t too matte for my liking. This foundation is long lasting and I literally have no complaints!

The only reason I cannot give this 5 stars is because it can be cakey. It is great full coverage. It is great for matching my skin tone. I have noticed that it tends to crease around my laugh lines a lot. If you don't make sure you've blended it out everywhere, it can cake up a little bit and make your skin look weird.

If I could go be this product a 6 out of 5 I would! I have a ton of acne scaring and a difficult face to keep foundation on. If it says 10 hours it’ll stay on my face for 1 hour. With this foundation I HAVE TO REMOVE IT at the end of a 9-11 hour day! Doesn’t settle into my pore or break me out! Looks fresh all day! LOVE!!!

I have a couple of shades of this foundation. I like it because I don't have to use concealer with it, it is a full full full coverage foundation and it gives you the blank canvas to start with. I have to super moisturize before I use this because it clings to dry patches. I use it for special occasions.
Q & A
What is the best way to apply? fingers? brush? beauty blender?
Okay, I've been eyeing this for a while but I just don't want to buy a high end foundation again and be as disappointed as I was with the Too Faced Born This Way 😩 I have oily, acne prone, combination skin with a super dry nose. I have a lot of redness from acne and so on and I want something that covers it all instantly! I want something that stays matte all day, with or without primer, and doesn't melt off no matter the weather. I am super light (like ghost light) as well with a yellow undertone and wonder if they have any good shades. Does it oxidize? Does it wear off around the nose? Can you apply it both with a Beauty Blender and a brush? Would you say this is a foundation for me?
Does this foundation come on very thick?
I have Rosacea, would this be able to cover up my rosy red cheeks?
I really want to give this foundation a try and I have been hearing mixed reviews. Is this product worth the money or should I try something different?
