Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation
It covers EVERYTHING. If you want a full-coverage foundation that you may not even have to use concealer with, this is the product you’re looking for. It goes on thick though, so it’s not an every day foundation for me. However, if you struggle with uneven skin tone or facial acne, this product will cover it! It sticks too. Once it sets, even a little sweat won’t take it off.
When I first apply this foundation, it looks great. It's very pigmented, full coverage, and the consistency is lovely. I have oily skin, and I can't even get this to stay on my t-zone for an hour. It oxidizes (if you select this- go like two shades lighter than you think you need) and it just doesn't have the staying power I thought this foundation would have. I love everything from her brand, so this was really disappointing.
This was my first high and foundation and at first the price. Scared me but after trying it and realize that little goes a long way it is well worth the money and I have bought it ever since

I wear deep 74 in this foundation which is too dark, but deep 71 is too yellow. I have caramel and red undertones so I mix it with a lighter shade.. It’s very full coverage and doesn’t transfer very easily. It stays on my face all day. I’ve worn it for 13 hours with no separation or cakey look.
If you are looking to buy a foundation that could cover up just about anything this is it. It has a very high level of pigment which in turn means that it can be mixed with a moisturizer when you don't want to wear a heavy liquid foundation. It is versatile and has a nice color range.

I love love love this foundation! It’s the only one I love using after trying so many and couldn’t find the right one. Little pumps of this product is enough for a full coverage, it’s long lasting and it makes your skin look so clear especially if you have any acne! Worth trying and this is an amazing foundation to use to go out since your skin will look flawless😍

The coverage is phenomenal. That being said, I have dry skin so this foundation on its own gets really cakey no matter how I apply it. To make it work, I mix it with a little bit of my hard candy glamoflauge concealer. That concealer is very dewy/oily on its own but also has great pigmentation. The two together create the perfect foundation with the perfect finish.
Amazing coverage, but it is definitely not for women with dry skin.. It seems to accentuate the dry spots, even when I use primer and moisturizer, so I'm not really sure what the problem is.
Q & A
What is the best way to apply? fingers? brush? beauty blender?
Okay, I've been eyeing this for a while but I just don't want to buy a high end foundation again and be as disappointed as I was with the Too Faced Born This Way 😩 I have oily, acne prone, combination skin with a super dry nose. I have a lot of redness from acne and so on and I want something that covers it all instantly! I want something that stays matte all day, with or without primer, and doesn't melt off no matter the weather. I am super light (like ghost light) as well with a yellow undertone and wonder if they have any good shades. Does it oxidize? Does it wear off around the nose? Can you apply it both with a Beauty Blender and a brush? Would you say this is a foundation for me?
Does this foundation come on very thick?
I have Rosacea, would this be able to cover up my rosy red cheeks?
I really want to give this foundation a try and I have been hearing mixed reviews. Is this product worth the money or should I try something different?
