Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation
If you have oily skin, get this foundation!! The absolute best foundation I have ever had. It will cling to any dry spots, so it will not work well with people who have dry skin. Very full coverage and stay on all day!

This foundation is great .. but a little too great. This is not for everyday wear, it’s very very full coverage. If you were looking for something to cover every little thing on your face though, this would be for you.

This is a really nice full coverage foundation. It dries to a semi-matte finish. I saw a lot of reviews saying it was extremely matte, but that was not the case for me. The coverage is good and the color was pretty much a good match, although I was worried at first because it goes on a bit orange and dries down the correct color. Overall, I would recommend, but you will need to blot a couple of hours in.

This foundation is incredible at covering anything up. I'm only rating it a 4 because I do not need that extreme level of coverage for my face, so I found myself mixing it with my moisturizer (like a diy tinted moisturizer) to work for me and look the way I like my foundation to look. If I didn't mix it with moisturizer, it would look too heavy for my taste.
I am the shade Light-Neutral. I received this in my lock it voxbox! This foundation can be used as medium coverage but can be built up to full coverage which is nice for a night out! This shade is perfect for me and looks really great on my skin. I must say, start with a little bit and add more if needed because it can cake up in areas such as the nose. I expected this to last longer but it doesn’t do that great in the Florida heat.
Pretty good but REALLY expensive. Covers well but kind of thick on my face. It’s important to get the correct color as always but with this brand even the lightest is too dark 😞 rather use her other compact foundation!
For some reason in my mind I thought I need as much coverage as this provides but I really didn’t. Best way to sheer it out is with the matching primer (yes you need the kat von d primer) mix the two on a palette and it keeps it from a)breaking down b)oxidizing and c) looking like you layered so much foundation on your skin you must have used two bottles. It performs great if you take those steps. Always apply with a wet sponge!
Q & A
What is the best way to apply? fingers? brush? beauty blender?
Okay, I've been eyeing this for a while but I just don't want to buy a high end foundation again and be as disappointed as I was with the Too Faced Born This Way 😩 I have oily, acne prone, combination skin with a super dry nose. I have a lot of redness from acne and so on and I want something that covers it all instantly! I want something that stays matte all day, with or without primer, and doesn't melt off no matter the weather. I am super light (like ghost light) as well with a yellow undertone and wonder if they have any good shades. Does it oxidize? Does it wear off around the nose? Can you apply it both with a Beauty Blender and a brush? Would you say this is a foundation for me?
Does this foundation come on very thick?
I have Rosacea, would this be able to cover up my rosy red cheeks?
I really want to give this foundation a try and I have been hearing mixed reviews. Is this product worth the money or should I try something different?
