Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation
I really enjoyed my Lock it foundation by KVD. It was easy to blend and was very highly pigmented. It also wore well on my oily skin although I would find myself powdering throughout the day to keep the oil at bay. I would suggest it to others but it did oxidize on me after a while.
This foundation has its pros and cons. Let's start with the pros, because there are fewer. It does have great coverage. If you have blemishes or redness, this will cover them up no problem. The shade that I used, L48, was a good match for me as well. Now to the cons. I have dry skin and I have a hard problem finding full coverage foundations that work in combination with it. This foundation accentuated my dry patches. It also felt heavy on my face. Yes, I know it's full coverage but some foundations are able to give you the coverage while still letting your skin breathe. This foundation didn't do that for me. Also, I think the shade selection could be better. The color I bought was too light for me but the next color up, too dark. I'm glad some people like it and get use out of it, but never again for me.
This foundation is great for going out because its so full coverage and flawless a little goes a very long way it is soo long lasting and is amazing for oily skin types and has no flash back I would recommend and repurchase this item

If you’re looking for a full coverage foundation to cover virtually anything, this is the foundation! I have facial tattoos, and with the concealer it covers completely. I just wish it were truly as transfer-proof as it claims.
I just bought one not too long ago & is not the best one . I feel like it makes my face more oily . Is more for people that dont have an oily face . Is a good foundation i do recommend it .
I absolutely love this for when I want full coverage foundation on. It seriously covers everything while still having a matte finish to it. Plus for the price you cannot beat the amount you get and it lasts forever because a little goes a long way.
My absolute favorite full coverage foundation! I have dark circles, light redness and a little acne scarring on my right cheek and this hides ALL of it. It lasts pretty much throughout my entire work day and into the night.
Love, love, love this product!! The best coverage, the best staying power. My skin is not left feeling dry after use (an issue with some of the other brands I've tried), and I've had no issues with breakouts using this product.
Q & A
What is the best way to apply? fingers? brush? beauty blender?
Okay, I've been eyeing this for a while but I just don't want to buy a high end foundation again and be as disappointed as I was with the Too Faced Born This Way 😩 I have oily, acne prone, combination skin with a super dry nose. I have a lot of redness from acne and so on and I want something that covers it all instantly! I want something that stays matte all day, with or without primer, and doesn't melt off no matter the weather. I am super light (like ghost light) as well with a yellow undertone and wonder if they have any good shades. Does it oxidize? Does it wear off around the nose? Can you apply it both with a Beauty Blender and a brush? Would you say this is a foundation for me?
Does this foundation come on very thick?
I have Rosacea, would this be able to cover up my rosy red cheeks?
I really want to give this foundation a try and I have been hearing mixed reviews. Is this product worth the money or should I try something different?
