This foundation is matte, long wearing, and FULL full coverage! I am a perfectionist when it comes to a flawless finish 😍 so I am living for this foundation. This is definitely great for event and photography makeup. I do not get any flashback using this foundation which is rare. Be sure to work this foundation in swiftly and efficiently as it goes matte fast. I use a brush to apply this one instead of a beauty blender. The major key to this foundation (especially if you have oily skin) is to moisturize and prime your face! I have very oil skin and I use both a hydrating primer all over then go in with a pore filling primer (in my areas with acne scares/blemishes) and a matte primer Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional: Matte Rescue Gel (in areas that tend to get oily after a few hours like my nose). Be sure to use a setting spray! I use pure organic rose water.

I took the plunge and decided to buy this foundation. I got a color match at Sephora and shade 45 is my match! I’m a warm sorta pale neutral gal. I feel like this foundation is applied best with a beauty blender rather than a makeup brush. Cause I see streaks when I do apply with my buffer brush. But, other than that it does a great job at covering imperfections and dark circles! I prob don’t even need a concealer when I use this product. 1pump does a great job if you want a med coverage but, 2 pumps it literally covers everything. Also, yes you do need a good canvas on your face when applying this product. It’s best to use some sorta primer or really a nice moisturized face.

Oily red skin! This is my go to over anything I have tried. It's full coverage, but light weight. I find that a little goes a long way and it only retails for $35. I apply this after using a water based primer with a damp beauty blender. Its very long wear and one of the only foundations that does not crease in my forehead and cake up my nose. I have been using this foundation for going on three years now and find no reason to change that. As they say, "Why fix something that isn't broken?" Kat Von D has one of the greatest full coverage foundations for those who need it. She also provides tips and tricks on katvondbeauty.com for those who seek a more dewy glowing look.

This is my absolute favorite foundation! I have been using it for years-- since it very first came out! I have tried many other foundations, but none of them compare to this one. It is so full coverage; I don't even have to use concealer!  I have acne-prone skin and acne scars, but I receive compliments on my complexion all the time when wearing this foundation! It stays on all day and Kat Von D's shade range is great. If you have dry skin you may want to use a moisturizer or moisturizing primer beforehand, as this can grab on to dry spots.  I personally have combo skin and it is great! I have bought this over and over and recommend it to everyone!

Where to even begin... Well for starters, with a price tag of almost $40 I expected this foundation bring it's A-game! I was sorely disappointed. I absolutely hated this foundation. I have very oily skin and I decided to try this foundation as it is a cult favorite amongst a lot of oily-skinned beauty influencers on youtube.  My first issue is that the foundation itself feels super thick and heavy on the skin. It was like I was wearing a mask made from grease makeup. My skin couldn't breathe very well in it and thus I started getting clogged pores and breakouts. I'd also like to point out that I wore this foundation to work and by the end of my 7 hour shift, it had completely melted off of my face! I had orange streams of foundation and oil dripping down my cheeks! It was honestly embarrassing! I returned it to sephora straight away! Hands down one of my absolute least favorite foundations of all time

This product has won my heart. I was incredibly disappointed when I first tried it because the formula became patchy and cakey after time. However, I did some research on how to apply and after a few trial runs, I had my perfect foundation! I apply a spray primer (I use NYX first base) and then I mix some foundation with a tinted primer (I use Clarria cosmetics in light) I conceal, contour, apply some powder and I'm good to go. I worked a 10 hour shift in a restaurant, came home, partied with friends until the early hours, passed out with full face of makeup and woke up to what I can only describe as a perfect face of makeup. I was mindblown!

Love love love this product!! But just warning if you don’t like a full coverage/thick foundation then this isn’t the one for you! I love the finish of the product, makes me look like I have perfect skin and dewy! Even when I try out new foundations I always come back to this one! You also only need one pump of product to cover entire face/neck! Also I use a Real Techniques sponge to blend it all over my face. I recommend using a sponge instead of a brush because it may be harder to blend!! Also watch out and make sure you get a color that is your shade or a little lighter because it oxidizes (gets a little darker) once it dries.

I received a sample from Sephora to try.  I love the full coverage.  I hardly used any foundation to cover my dark spots, that is a huge plus.
I used moisturizer and Benefit Poprofessional before applying Kat Von D and after 2 hours, the foundation settled into all my pores and fine lines.  I removed it and tried my DDF primer, better but not by much.  I did notice after 8 hours my natural oils mixed and it looked better but I did not like the feel of this foundation.
It is thick formula, but not so heavy on the face.
Pro:  full coverage and a little goes long way.  The price is decent, but this will last a long time so the price is not something I would consider.
Con:  settled into my fine lines, smile lines, and my pores were exaggerated worse than EL DW.  I looked dull.

If you're getting married or have a special little man during the summer outside or a prom or homecoming anything's a thing where you might sweat a little bit orm yellow greasy and whatever you need this foundation in your life it's amazing but goes nowhere and I mean know where it's amazing. It has a full range of colors cat has made sure of that and I just so appreciate that she's taking the time to make sure everybody is included in her colors. Be sure and check out her lock it concealer as well goes along beautifully with this Foundation as does the locket powder the three of them together can't be beat

Okay, I've been eyeing this for a while but I just don't want to buy a high end foundation again and be as disappointed as I was with the Too Faced Born This Way 😩 I have oily, acne prone, combination skin with a super dry nose. I have a lot of redness from acne and so on and I want something that covers it all instantly! I want something that stays matte all day, with or without primer, and doesn't melt off no matter the weather. I am super light (like ghost light) as well with a yellow undertone and wonder if they have any good shades. Does it oxidize? Does it wear off around the nose? Can you apply it both with a Beauty Blender and a brush? Would you say this is a foundation for me?

I really want to give this foundation a try and I have been hearing mixed reviews. Is this product worth the money or should I try something different?
