i know reviews are mixed. but i live and swear by lock it foundation!
even though i have dry skin, this foundation id perfect for me! and the shade range is absolutely perfect! only brand to have my exact shade! all the orher brands are always too pink! but kvd knows!!!!! u can be white af 😂😂😂 and not pink af 😂😂😂
i use it with the kvd primer and, well... it makes my day everytime!
also as i work at night, the full full coverage is awesome cuz i need my skin to be flawless!
for daytime, i use less of the product :)

One of the best foundations I’ve ever tried in my life! Before using it I usually apply Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional Face Primer and Urban Decay Quick Fix Hydra-charged Complexion Prep Priming Spray and it lasts the whole day. It works perfect with fair skin, but you need to be careful because some of the tones are too light and if you take a pic using a flashlight you might look like a Casper, even though without a flashlight it looks amazing.
Otherwise, yes, it’s an amazing product and I would definitely repurchase it ❤️

I love how build-able and thick this foundation is. I can also thin it down by applying less and using a brush to blend. I do think that this would be best suited for someone with more natural skin as it could be too thick of a layer for someone with oily skin and could break them out. Dry skin could also see a problem as this foundation shows a lot of skin texture so the dry skin patches could become more obvious.

I usually like a dewy finish as it is more natural. This foundation is very matte though so I could see it being good for glamour makeup. I think that with some highlighter it can look dewy again so it is all about how you layer and play with it.

This was heavily recommended to me and my hella oily skin for years and years and when I finally made the leap and bought it, I hated it. This has the thickness of shellac which makes it so cakey even after hours of wear and that's not right (if you're oily, you'll know what I mean). I used one pump, half a pump, mixed it with moisturizer, everything. I am a full coverage queen but it was legitimately like painting another face on me. It smelt horrible and felt heavy and horrible on my face which then in return lead to breakouts. I was super disappointed with this product which was unexpected because I love Kat Von D x Sephora products but I just can't get behind this.

Love this product. Definitely worth the money and is affordable for everyone. Lasts all day and it is very brightening. I would recommend this to my family and friends. It also makes a good gift. Would buy again. Favourite foundation

This foundation is super full coverage and a little goes along way, I have oily skin and it works super well and doesn’t go patchy. The only thing I didn’t like was how thick the foundation was and it can Creasy really easily which I rated it a 4, other than that I’d recommend it to people who love full coverage foundations, also with this foundation it shows how much you have left which is another thing I love about this, with other foundations you never know how much you have left but with this one it rises as it gets empty so you know that you’ll need to go buy another one, I’ve just got on my second one Id definitely recommend.

Now I'm going based off of the OLD formula, and I haven't tried to new one yet, so don't take my word 100%. I have weird skin. Sometimes it's really dry, sometimes it's really oily. This foundation doesn't seem to work for either. I found that when my skin was very dry, it would stick to it in patches and look clumpy, and when I found my skin was very oily, it would just slide off and leave gross patches all over my skin. The only pro I found was that it was very light weight and I could barely feel it on my skin. I might try the new formula to see if it has gotten better and see if it works with my skin, but I'm really hesitant to splash the money out on this.

I feel like this product has been majorly hyped about by many beauty influencers, however for me personally, I have definitely tried better foundations. I feel this is a really thick foundation, perfect for those who love full coverage, however I feel like it leaves my face feeling super heavy. The packaging is stunning, however I think the formula needs working on. With there being so many beautiful foundations on the market, Kat Von D need to step up their game with this foundation. I have tried drugstore foundations such as the Maybelline Fit Me, which I have found to be more effective and long lasting compared to the Kat Von D Lock-It Foundation.

I got a sample from Sephora in the colour 53M. It was a bit too dark and that's something you have to be careful about: if the shade is not spot on for your skin tone it will definitely show because this is a real full coverage foundation. It's thick and kind of hard to blend but it doesn't feel heavy on the skin and even though the finish is super matte it doesn't feel or look dry at all! It lasts all day long (approximately 12hours, I've never wore it longer than that) and it doesn't move nor get cakey AT ALL. It sets itself and doesn't really need the help of any additional powder. I use this as concealer as well, having noticeable purple dark circles, and it doesn't crease, too. Overall, an excellent foundation and really worth the price.

Okay, I've been eyeing this for a while but I just don't want to buy a high end foundation again and be as disappointed as I was with the Too Faced Born This Way 😩 I have oily, acne prone, combination skin with a super dry nose. I have a lot of redness from acne and so on and I want something that covers it all instantly! I want something that stays matte all day, with or without primer, and doesn't melt off no matter the weather. I am super light (like ghost light) as well with a yellow undertone and wonder if they have any good shades. Does it oxidize? Does it wear off around the nose? Can you apply it both with a Beauty Blender and a brush? Would you say this is a foundation for me?

I really want to give this foundation a try and I have been hearing mixed reviews. Is this product worth the money or should I try something different?
