Review for: 42 LIGHT - NEUTRAL UNDERTONE more...
My favourite favourite favourite high end foundation!! The shade range is amazing - I'm so porcelain pale that I really struggle to find foundations that are pale enough with the right undertone (I'm fairly neutral, slightly more warm than cool). This is full coverage (covers my tattoos), matte but not drying, and long-lasting. I will definitely be purchasing again once I have run out, no matter what the price is.

I am so glad I found this foundation. I actually got it as a gift and was skeptical to use it at first, because I have acne prone skin and when I saw that it said that it was "tattoo coverage" I thought it might clog my pores and have me break out. To my surprise it was applies smoothly with a foundation brush or beauty blender and gives amazing coverage. They aren't joking about full coverage. I can't say I've tried the tattoo coverage aspect because I don't have any but I'm sure it would do justice to the name. The one problem is, is that it transfers...a lot. I made the mistake of doing my makeup before getting changed and I got the foundation all over my black shirt. NOT CUTE. But! I think that if you apply your makeup afterwards it should not be a problem what so ever. Just make sure to use a good setting powder!

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS. This is my go to foundation and would 100% recommend for those looking for amazing coverage for spots, scars etc.

Quite pricey at £30 as this was one of my first high end purchases but It’s definitely worth the money.

As for the packaging, I love the design as it prevents the chance of any foundation spilling in your makeup bag as it has a stopper type plug thing to go in the hole the foundation comes from. The stopper does admittedly get quite dirty but it’s easy to clean.

As for the actual product. It last all day. And by all day, I literally mean ALL day. I put this on in the morning and it looks the same that night. It doesn’t stop me from becoming shiny fully. However it’s much better than a lot of other foundations at doing so. It’s nothing a powder touch up can’t fix! As I already mentioned, the coverage is so good. I’m quite spotty and this literally covers everything with just one and a half to two pumps I do my entire face.

One downside to this is it can feel (but not look) a little cakey after wearing for a long time. Those who prefer a lightweight feel may find this feels heavy on their face. That’s all I can think of though.

Kat Von D is by far the best make up brand on the market , in my opinion. I feel like if she made it an organic makeup she would check all I am looking for in makeup. But hey she made it a Vegan Brand which is still something big. Anyway this foundation is the only one I ever used those last years . It is covering but your skin can breathe. Perfect for any type of skin. I just don’t feel like I have a tone of paint on my face when I wear this which is the best thing ever.

Review for: 42 LIGHT - NEUTRAL UNDERTONE more...
I bought this foundation as I wanted a full-coverage one for a change. I wasn't sure what shade to go for initially (I'm neutral with a smidge of pink). I got shade matched in Debenhams to L44 (cool) at first but the sample I used was a tad too dark for my skin (and oxidised a bit) so I was given a sample of L43 (too warm). I did go back to the counter again and the girls were ever so helpful and I eventually got matched to L42(neutral) which is very light but matches my skin tone so much better and doesn't seem to oxidise on me at all.
I mix this foundation with the 'Lock It' primer so I get full-coverage without the cakiness (I also blend with a damp beauty blender). Lasts on my oily skin a good 7-8 hours and I only powder my T-zone. This foundation is reasonably priced and since I mix it with the primer it'll last me ages. Would purchase again.

This product is not a runny foundation but is almost a whipped formula. It is full coverage and a little goes a long way. However, even when I set the foundation I still manage to get smile lines so if that is an issue I would not recommend this. Besides that the foundation is flawless!! The packaging is great too

This is my go to foundation, I’m completely in love with this product. It blended amazingly and flawlessly. Left my skin looking smooth and gave great coverage, it is buildable so if you want more coverage it’s no problem. Would highly recommend. Although it’s quiet pricy it is good value for money. You do get a lot of product so is really worth the price

I did receive the foundation complimentary to try and provide my honest review. If you want full coverage foundation that lasts, this is it! I have combination skin with acne breakouts and this covers any redness, pores or any discolorations I have (Major win on that alone). Use a little at a time and add more if needed, it sets and dries quickly. I find its best used with a good brush to apply it. It gives nice flawless coverage. Overall, great foundation, highly recommended and would defiantly buy.

Pro's: great coverage, perfect skin tone match - which was hard to find since I have mixed skin tones being bi-racial. Competitively priced with other high-end beauty foundations.

Con's: breaks me out, looks cakey with out sheering with moisturizer and setting with powder.

Using up the bottle slowly as I  can make it work don't like to promote waste. However I don't think I'll purchase it again.

This was the first ever expensive foundation I had used and I love it. I'm a dancer and I needed a foundation that was full coverage and the Kat Von D Lock-it Tattoo foundation did exactly that! This foundation is full coverage, doesn't feel heavy and cakey on the skin, leaves a matte finish and covers any impurities on your skin. I also love that shade range for the Lock-It Tattoo Foundation, this was good because I haven't been able to find a foundation to make my skin colour and tone. i would like to say that this foundation does cover tattoos, i was able to test this theory on my dad who is covered in tattoos and i would like to say i am very pleased with the results.  I would highly recommend this foundation t anyone who is seeking a new foundation.

Okay, I've been eyeing this for a while but I just don't want to buy a high end foundation again and be as disappointed as I was with the Too Faced Born This Way 😩 I have oily, acne prone, combination skin with a super dry nose. I have a lot of redness from acne and so on and I want something that covers it all instantly! I want something that stays matte all day, with or without primer, and doesn't melt off no matter the weather. I am super light (like ghost light) as well with a yellow undertone and wonder if they have any good shades. Does it oxidize? Does it wear off around the nose? Can you apply it both with a Beauty Blender and a brush? Would you say this is a foundation for me?

I really want to give this foundation a try and I have been hearing mixed reviews. Is this product worth the money or should I try something different?
