Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation
The foundation didn’t blend out easily. I usually use a beauty blender, but I had to go in with a brush to even it out. It looked great at first but got a bit cakey looking after a few hours.

This foundation is horrible for people with acne. It made me look extremely cakey and blotchy. It didn’t have a nice finish. It felt very heavy and my face felt uncomfortable. I just wanted it off the second I put it on.
This its the best full cover fundation that i have try.. You can find it on sephora or ulta. I would recomend this product to all my females out there looking for a good foundation.. And because i give the best to the best.. This woukd be a perfect gift for my bestie. Love this foundation ❤ Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation

My go to foundation!! It’s medium to full coverage, but it definitely doesn’t feel super heavy like you’d expect it to. It’s super easy to apply. I like to slowly press the pump to dispense a small amount of product directly onto my beauty blender and dot it around my face since a little goes a long way. Then I blend out the little dots from there!! A super small amount definitely covers up everything that I need it to. I would definitely buy this again, but since my skin tone is constantly changing, I would buy it in a lighter shade the next time around. And look at how cute the packaging is!! I haven’t reached the bottom of the foundation yet, so I’m not exactly sure how effective the pump will be with getting the last bits of my foundation when the time comes.. but we shall see! Overall an amazing product. It does not get oily for up to 16 hours?? But my makeup lasts me all day without major shine or oiliness. And I have horribly oily combination skin. It’s also transfer proof!! So if it does transfer to your clothing, it would be very minimal unless you’re actually rubbing your face on something, then yes. It would smudge off lol
This is definitely what I would consider one of the top 5 full coverage foundations on the market, but it is not a good choice if your skin is dry because it does soak a lot of moisture up.
Coverage is amazing. I had a problem with the foundation being to orange for my fair skin but I could have had the wrong color. This foundation also clogged my pores and felt very caked on.
Q & A
What is the best way to apply? fingers? brush? beauty blender?
Okay, I've been eyeing this for a while but I just don't want to buy a high end foundation again and be as disappointed as I was with the Too Faced Born This Way 😩 I have oily, acne prone, combination skin with a super dry nose. I have a lot of redness from acne and so on and I want something that covers it all instantly! I want something that stays matte all day, with or without primer, and doesn't melt off no matter the weather. I am super light (like ghost light) as well with a yellow undertone and wonder if they have any good shades. Does it oxidize? Does it wear off around the nose? Can you apply it both with a Beauty Blender and a brush? Would you say this is a foundation for me?
Does this foundation come on very thick?
I have Rosacea, would this be able to cover up my rosy red cheeks?
I really want to give this foundation a try and I have been hearing mixed reviews. Is this product worth the money or should I try something different?
