I usually use store brand foundations; if I order this foundation online, is there a scale of something that shows the shade equivalency?

You can usually go to a Sephora and get your color IQ. Then you can use your color IQ to help determine which shade you should order online. If you are unable to make it to a Sephora near you, you can usually read the shade description. Also check out the return policies, because if you can return a foundation to get a different color that would be great too.

Are you able at all to get color matched in a store? You could try a department store's cosmetics counter to get a proper match. Find out what your undertone is and it will be easier to match yourself, if you need to. If you look at the veins on your wrists, do they lean towards blue or green? If they lean towards blue, you have a cool undertone and want to find colors that have pink underneath vs golden tones, which match green veins. Hope this helps!

There's the entire shade range on Sephora.com with helpful descriptions of each shade, if possible you can always go into the Sephora store to find your exact match with the testers!

I would really recommend going to the store and trying out the different shades. All of them have different undertones, so to be sure on a match, I would try them out!

If you're ever unsure about a foundation shade, you can check out the Temptalia website's Foundation Matrix, or the Findation website. They aren't 100% reliable but they can give you a good idea. If you're still in doubt, what I do is look up foundation reviews from YouTubers of the same/similar skin tone.

There are 30 shades! I would suggest Sephora to color match you. This foundation is amazing and I dedicated a whole YouTube video to it. However, matching the right shade is crucial and would be very difficult online.

If you can get to the actual Sephora store, have them color match your bare skin to get the best match. I did this and unfortunately the KVD was to cakey for my dry akin but they found the Urban Decay alternative instead that worked better for me. Once your matched they can give you several brand alternatives as well.

I think go to the store, because in different computers the color looks different because of the resolution and stuff like that
