Kat Von D Lock-it Setting Powder
When the Kat Von D Lock-it Setting Powder was released, there was a lot of buzz on the internet. Since I was in the market for a setting powered, I decided to give it a try. I purchased mine at Sephora for $30 which I thought was very reasonable, especially giving the size. I applied mine to set my under eye area and was very pleased with how smoothly it applies. Once I was finished setting, it also brushed off smoothly which I was pleased with. In pictures it did not give me flashback and it also did not crease for the remainder of the time I had my makeup on. I did not have to reapply powered throughout the day as I have had to do in the past. It locks in moisture which is a huge plus for people with oily skin. It's my favorite setting powder.
I really love this powder for setting foundation, but not undereye. Love it for normal to dry skin types! Packaging is great, cruelty free, and reasonable price!
I bought this setting powder to set my concealer and I absolutely love it. I am medium skin tone and often get scared that setting powders will look too white and have a cast in pictures. This one has alleviated all my fears. It's finely milled and easy to dust off. It makes me look flawless after use. I wish the packaging was a little different as it is messy to get the product out to apply, but I love it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a flawless finish. #contest
This has been the only setting powder I have used to bake my concealer with for the past year and I'm a fan. It's a matte finish, but it isn't too drying to use under the eyes. I personally prefer this over the Laura Mercier loose setting powder because the KVD one is much more finely milled, which allows you to use it as an all over setting powder as well. I personally prefer a pressed powder for the rest of the face, but the KVD works for that too. It has no flashback at all and it has lasted me a long time. Kind of messy having to dump it in the lid, but I feel like that's kind of hard to avoid with a loose powder. Would highly recommend!
I bought this powder to test out of curiosity after running out of my Laura Mercier powder a while ago. In comparison to the Laura Mercier powder, this powder is less finely milled and has a bit of grit to it. This powder is not very soft on the skin but has a great blurring effect when applied to the skin. Its lasting power is definitely not as great as the Laura Mercier powder and from my experience doesn't control oil production as well. I think that if you have oily/combination skin like me the LM powder is a better option for you than this one. I think this powder is great but is definitely not suited for my skin type.
I am newer to the baking technique but have incorporated it into my makeup routine and with that have tried a couple different ones on my hunt for the perfect setting powder. I have to say this is the best one I have tried yet. Smooth and silky to apply and it comes with a powder puff to use with the product which is awesome. I purchased the smaller size from Sephora which I can appreciate from Kat Von D to make smaller sizes so you can try the product for less of the cost as the full size product. Many high end brands don't do that so bother bonus point for that but I can say I will definitely be going back for the full size
One of my favorite setting powders on the market. You get a TON of powder, this stuff will seriously last you forever, even with daily use. The color is a great natural color, it works with all skin tones. I use this to finish off my face and "set" my concealer and foundation, and it works great! No creasing, and it lasts all day. I also love the finish it gives your skin - it just melts all your makeup together flawlessly and gives your skin a little extra oomph.
Would say this is similar to the Laura mercier powder I like the packaging on Kvd looks simple but nice .I usually only set my under eye area with powder to avoid creasing of my makeup there . When doing so I using a damp beauty sponge and apply. If I apply on other areas of my face then I use a big fluffy brush to gently dust on face. It blends out really well on the skin so far I haven't experienced a white cast in flash photography with this product something that make this a good setting powder and if you're worried about it oxidizing I didn't notice it happening when I use it very lightweight and a little goes a long way

Bought this as a sample to try. I normally don't like setting powders because it makes me cakey and just sets weird on me. this stuff is so silky and swift doesn't cake easy to use and it holds your make up all day. A little goes a long way once I'm out of the $15 sample/travel size I will purchase full size it's that good plus it comes with a cute soft puff
