I usually don’t use lip liners, the only ones I do use come in kits (kylie/huda). A lot of lipliners seem to be on the dry side and drag on my lips when applied. This is the creamiest liner I have ever used! It goes on so easily! I was worried about it smearing/running since it was so creamy but I didn’t have problems with it all day. I purchased the shade Lolita, and it’s such a great color that could be paired with many MANY lipstick colors, it’s so versatile, which is amazing because as a makeup lover you just want all the shades, but it’s nice knowing the product has more than just one purpose or option. These are 18$ which seems a little steep in my opinion, lip kits are usually 20-30$. So kinda seems like a little bit of a rip off but it’s still worth it in the end. The packaging is nice, nothing super fancy but it’s just liner, and the product is simply amazing. Definitely my new favorite lip liner, SOO many shades to choose from, looking forward to getting more. If you are willing to spend the money I’d say it’s honestly worth it!
Review for: A-Go-Go more...
I dyed my hair orange and yellow a couple of months ago, before KVD Beauty came out with their colored brow pomades, and I really wanted a good orange product to use to make my eyebrows match my hair, so I bought the lip liner in the shade A-Go-Go. I used it as a base to fill in and carve out my brows, and I set them with the orange shade (Devil) in KVD Beauty’s Saint and Sinner eyeshadow palette. I also used the lip liner on my lips (on all of both lips- I didn’t have the liquid lip shade that matched at the time) and topped it with a clear gloss. I loooooooved this product. The color was beautiful! I didn’t think I’d be able to pull off an orange lip, and this one was definitely bold, but it surprised me in such a good way! The pigmentation is beautiful, and once it dries/sets, it doesn’t really smear or transfer. I loved the results I had with it. And I loved the color so much that I went out and bought the liquid lip that matched! The only negative, in my opinion, is that since it’s a creamy twist-up formula, it’s very soft, and so you go through it a LOT faster than you would a harder kind of pencil. I was a little disappointed in how fast I used up the entire thing, as I paid $20 for it and was expecting it to last me longer than it did. But, I liked it enough to use it all up within less than a month of buying it, so really, I guess that speaks volumes about how great it is! Haha All in all, I sort of wish it was a harder formula/a little less creamy/soft, just so that it would last longer. But as far as the pigmentation, comfort, wear, and overall performance of the product, I can’t complain at all!!
This is a great creamy lip liner that does a great job at lining your lips. It’s long lasting and easy to apply by turning the top to have more come out. I bought mine at Sephora for about $20 and it was worth it and I’d love to try other colors especially since it’s so easy to apply and glides across your lips effortlessly. It’s also highly pigmented and my shade of Lolita goes with a lot of different lipsticks I have so I can use it a lot. I highly recommend it
Review for: A-Go-Go, Lemmy, Roxy more...
I purchased three of these liners in Lemmy, Roxy and A-Go-Go. The best things about them: their pigment is super intense, and once it’s on, it’s on. It’s not coming off til you scrub it with makeup remover. The worst thing about it: how soft it is. It’s a lip liner, so you want something that is creamy enough to glide smoothly without skipping, but you also want it firm enough so it’s not making a fuzzy line. That’s the case with this liner. Its too soft to achieve a crisp line, so I ended up using a small angled brush (from ABH) to line my lips. I will say that this product is versatile; it blends well (before it dries, obviously) and I even used it on my eyes. And I do love how well it stays. I just wish it was a little easier to apply!
Have you been curious to try this? Stop right here. Seriously. I tried this on a whim, I’ve always loved her everlasting liquid lipstick and the lip liners seriously changed the game! They not only make the liquid lipstick hold up better than it already does, you can where this lip liner all by itself and it looks incredible. I tend to wear Lolita under a lot of shades, it’s definitely my favorite. I’m converted and I’ll never go back to anything else. At first glance, the packaging is very cute and what oyou would expect from the Kat Von D brand. When I first started to use the liner, I thought it was really nice and super, super creamy! It went on smooth and had a lot of rich pigment. Perfect for filling in lips without drying them out. I got the shade "Lolita" and it is a very pretty nude, pinkish Brown that you can wear with any nude lipstick or gloss. This gets a 3 because, it was SO soft that the tip almost immediately fell off and was wasted. I also noticed that the softness means you use a LOT of product on application! For the price of this liner, I expect it to last a while, which I don't think is going to happen.
I love the Kat Von D line for the most part. I got this liner in my Allure beauty box and was so excited! I am telling you that this bad boy was so creamy. I actually for some looks use lip liner to line and fill my lips. Basically I blur the lines for that perfect matchy mathcy look that I want once in a blue moon. I will say on the lip use a good lip oil if you are going to blur the lines. It was drying but the color was sick. I love a good nude.
If you are into nude and berry lipstick i definitely would suggest that you try lolita as your go to lip liner before applying your lipstick. It makes for the perfect lip. It glides on easily. It is such a beautiful color that you could wear it alone as well. It does not budge which is great if you combine it with a non budging lipstick. If you put a lipstick that easily smears then you will look like a chola when the only thing left on is the liner.
Review for: Hawkwind, Homegirl, OG Lolita more...
These are insanely pigmented and really creamy! I will say the creaminess is nice if you want to apply the liner all over the lips, but doesn’t really work well under a gloss since they can move around too much underneath. The creaminess doesn’t make the liner move around on the lips otherwise. They apply really evenly and last a long time, plus the colors are absolutely stunning. I will say that the twist up pencil makes them a bit more difficult to apply than with a standard pencil, but it’s not impossible.
I received this product in my Allure beauty box and I was so excited to try because I’ve heard nothing but great things about it! It’s definitely a pigmented liner! The reason why I took one star off is because I don’t like how matte the feeling is. Usually with other crayon liners, they are still matte but feel more creamy. This liner kind of feels like there’s nothing there but it still shows super nicely! I’m not sure how much this product costs but it definitely is worth it if you like a good matte pigmented lip liner!
