Jumanji Fluxx ⭐️⭐️ So we picked up a new game a while back. It’s called Jumanji Fluxx. It was sitting on the clearance rack and we’re huge fans of Jumanji. So reading the box was really vague but it sounded fun especially since it’s based off Jumanji! 😁 Gotta say though, it was disappointing. Don’t get me wrong, it’s fun, but it’s not made for 2 people. This is definitely a game for 3 or more, contrary to what the box says. The game is very fast paced. So with 2 people you can sometimes kill off your opponent within the first 3 draws or less. That’s just not fun. There’s a lot of “danger” cards which are instant kill cards and can instantly boot someone from the game. In the case of only 2 players, that ends the game. The game resolves around constant rule changes. These rule changes are often boring, don’t change the game much, and lack any real creativity. Most of them are draw more or less cards and play more or less cards. One involves moving a coin back and forth between players. Another gets rid of new lives - which doesn’t even apply to 2 player games. One says to yell “Jumanji” if you win, etc. The rules go on like this. They’re not really fun, creative, and don’t add any real twist to the game. There’s an incredibly limited amount of action cards and these can also be used to kill opponents which can ultimately end the game right away if there’s only 2 players. The game doesn’t need more ways to kill people. 🙄 It’s like thats the entire plot of the game and that’s all the game is about. I wanna play a game, not just kill everyone or someone with every move. That isn’t fun. But that’s a lot of the action cards - and there aren’t many action cards in general anyway. So most of the actions just aren’t fun. Besides killing everyone, the actual object of the game is to reach the ever changing goal. With how many ways there are to kill people however, you rarely have to reach the goal to win because everyone has died everyone has died before the goal has been reached. 😕🤷🏼‍♀️ Over all, this game seems like it would be a lot of fun. It’s a great concept and idea for a game! No doubt about that! But this one is considerably lacking. It’s not a bad game but if I could return it, I probably would. I was very disappointed with it. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend it.
