I used it right away with my newborn daughter. I feel like it didn’t fit the best when she was a tiny little baby and was concerned about her moving around too much. When she was older front face it wasn’t my favorite as I didn’t feel she was secure in it. It also catches lint soo bad and I would sweat so much wearing it. It is getting 3 stars though because I love it for grocery runs from the months 3-5 months when she didn’t have to be worn like a newborn but not old enough to face forward
