Jim Beam Black is extremely affordable at $20 a bottle for 7-year aged bourbon at 90 proof strength. I'm not a connoisseur, by any means, but it smelled spicy like brown sugar and cinnamon with a nice caramel color. Straight up or on the rocks could be boring to experienced bourbon drinkers. I tried my father's Jim Beam Black mixed into an Old Fashioned with a black cherry.

Goes down smooth with a little kick at the end. Smokey and sweet and is always better with lime for a sour kick. A taste all of its own. No bitterness.
