terrible writing. very groupthink type of members. if you have a different perspective that sympathizes with people they demonize, the commentators will bully you. these are the kind of people that give feminism a really bad name.
I am joined this group to my Facebook. They have actually really given good information in a fast way to their readers. They have actually broke news on Facebook and was the fast to let me what was going on in the world. They also do a lot of inspirational stories too. I like that they tell you what you need to know before you click a link. Some news and magazines make you click to their website to tell you any info. Usually, it is not info you wanted to know in the first place. So at least friend them on Facebook to try them out.
Aside from the fact that the writing itself is trash, some of the things they write are outright disgusting in nature. I once saw an article condoning physical abuse of men, saying that their staff thought it was okay and even funny to hit men. Absolutely vile, and the comments it got from their readers didn't help either. Don't contribute to this by reading their shlock.
Despite Jezebel being part of Gawker and have many articles that are mainly published to attract traffic to the site, Jezebel is a very decent site. Though they position themselves as a feminist site, only a half of their articles are truly feminist in nature. The site, in the end, is more entertaining than news worthy anymore.
I love this website. Its a very feminist website but the wit is amazing. If you are looking for a website that is written from more of a female perspective this is the place. They have everything from serious news to silly articles. They also make it very easy to share their stories on social media.
Jezebel has some great articles and great writers/contributors. The content can sometimes be fluff or thought provoking and ranges from anywhere in between. I like that. I would highly recommend checking it out.
Fun and snarky news articles, balanced out with well written op ed pieces and fairly reported news. I check Jezebel daily for content. Dirt Bag and Tweet Beat are my guilty pleasures.
I love the gossip and the "news." Remember that it's just entertainment. Too many people take every article and word seriously and commentators get heated. If you want real news, catch up on CNN. :)
The website is okay. It's the users/commentators that aren't so great. It seems like a lot of people participate in groupthink.
