Designer About Jean Patou: In 1912, Jean Patou opened a dressmaking salon in Paris named Maison Parry. Then war interrupted his career. In 1919, he reopened his salon under his own name to great success. In 1925, he launched his perfume collection: Amour-Amour (for brunettes), Que Sais-je (for blondes), and Adieu Sagesse (for redheads). In 1931 he introduced Joy, which is still treasured as one of the world's great perfumes. Today, the name Jean Patou is globally renowned for the entire collection of fragrances. see more...

Joy Forever is a gorgeous floral fragrance for women. It is very expensive and smells similar to the original Joy launched in 1930. Joy Forever was launched in 2013. It has marigold and some sweeter notes that are different from the original Joy, but it is still very rich and complex and retains the luxurious floral spirit of Joy. Joy Forever is very sophisticated with good staying power and projection. Do not confuse this with Forever Jean Patou, a completely different fragrance that has a ruby red accent on the cap and has a note of pineapple with raspberry, totally different fragrances that are easily confused. I prefer the original Joy over the newer Joy Forever. But I'd keep both in my collection.
