Founded in 2010, Iron Smoke is a New York State Farm Distillery based in Fairport, NY. They use all local ingredients from Finger Lakes family-owned farms located within a 50 mile radius of the distillery and give the stripped mash back to the farmers to feed their livestock. Iron Smoke is made using an apple wood smoked 4 grain bourbon mash bill recipe. They smoke some of the grains with the same process as a backyard smoker merging two great American pastimes: great BBQ and great whiskey making. The whiskey is aged in thirty-gallon new American white oak barrels for approximately 2 years.
