I wanted the same lightener I’ve used before by L’Oréal but there wasn’t any, then i noticed this one has keratin proteins so I figured why not, I ended up using the Ion clarifying pre treatment which is a favorite I also added the Ion pre color treatment after, both steps before lightening and I chose to go with all Ion products since I Noo for Shampoo + Conditioner it’s always good to use matching or within the same brand bc ingredients work together better. Not sure if I should have stripped my color out first (it was a faded purple) I skipped it this time bc this was a high lift bleach but it came out splotchy….which I didn’t realize 100% till I went to put on the color - it didn’t fry my hair but I did have to leave it on a good while at least an hour my roots didn’t even lighten which is weird, I had a good 2-3 inches of roots also certain strands had a weird shade towards the tip of the ends. I used water on the ends my ends to help with any overlapping but still the results were mehh, the roots were my main concern && didn’t come out as light as I would’ve liked - idk kinda disappointing - wouldn’t repurchase this one for sure 💔💔💔 it took forever, it didn’t lighten evenly && it barely did anything to my roots which is wild 😶

I haven’t done my own hair in years so I was nervous to bleach my hair.. saw decent reviews on Google so I want with Sally’s own brand ION. Girllllllllllll this was magic. It brought me to such a beautiful platinum blonde with minimal breakage. I used the lightener that said keratin infusion and it definitely had keratin in it lol. Hair was stiff from the proteins. But as you can see- trust the process 💄 (my hair was purple and blue before so the blue/green is from old hair coloring, NOT from the bleach) 💙 see my page for the vibrant blue I did after!

Works great and lightens hair pretty quickly and really well without doing a ton of damage like the quick blue lightening powder that a lot of people use.
