I did the Insanity workout a few summers ago & I will say I’ve never had another workout DVD compare to it. You will definitely be reaching for water at every break and the next day you will experience soreness. If you can’t afford a gym membership or would like to do more home work outs due to your schedule, this is the DVD to buy!
This is an intense workout program. With this one it’s go big or go home. The cardio will keep your heart pumping and it comes with instructions on which days to do what. The yoga workout is pretty amazing and this dvd really pushes you to your limits. I got in amazing shape when I did this one.
I’ve done insanity on and off for a few years. Honestly, it’s a great workout if you’re not a gym person and like only using your body weight. The toughest part is the workouts are really hard on your joints. If you have knee, ankle, shoulder, or whatever problems, it will be rough.
This program is way overpriced it's super super hard definitely too intense to keep up with the first three or four times I tried it it was smooth I loved it the flow is easy and as I kept doing it it just begin to not even show me results but also just be completely too intense for me to finish out a whole DVD definitely not worth the money I spent on it
I can’t say enough about Insanity!! I first used the program five years ago and my results were out of this world. In four weeks I was so excited with the changes I had seen in my body. I won’t lie, it’s HARD! You’ll be sweating by the end of the warm-up. But Shawn makes you always feel like you can rest if needed and encourages you throughout! It’s tough to get started but you quickly see how much better you get, you won’t be able to quit! I’ve recently started the program again and I can’t wait to see my results!
This program is NO JOKE. Seriously. It truly is insane. This is hard for someone who stays active. I had to stop plenty of times. Shawn T does a good job of keeping you motivated. His back up people are real people who end up having to take breaks as well because it is so intense. I recommend this for any fitness level. For beginners, just modify moves or take lots of breaks. For experts, do the best you can because this will still challenge you. Great program!
I did this in college and it was rough, but I loved it. The workouts help with my training I was already doing for sports so it kept me going. I “dead” afterwards of course lol just kidding, it was great and I was very tired so I know it works.
This is an intense painful work out but if you stick with it you will get results. I get so sore from this and it’s hard for me to stick with it because it wears me out but if you have the determination you will see changes
This is an awesome work out program! I had to start out slow but after a few weeks I was able to keep up. I lost 20 pounds doing this and changing my eating habits. And the best thing is that nothing is required but you and a DVD player.
Insanity, if used in a healthy manner CAN be an effective form of working out - BUT I HATE how the program only gives ONE day off - it is an intense work out, and doesn't give muscles a chance to fully repair and it's a lot of repetitive movements and jumping, so beware if you have joint issues - I went through it once and looked great, but also felt forced to do the workouts and drained a lot of the time, maybe best to do on your OWN tracking pace, not the suggested :)
