I’ve been using the Remington hydraluxe hair straightener for the past few months and it is a great bit of kit. It warms up very quickly and you can set it at a certain temperature of your liking. One thing I really like about the straightener is that the plates are very smooth and glide along my hair unlike cheaper straighteners which usually tend to snag long hair. The hair straightener also feels very nice in the hand and it’s easy to use since it has a power cord that’s able to spin so the wire doesn’t get tangled. The only drawback I really saw was that the hair straightener did not come with a heat proof mat which is a let down, especially if you are paying close to £100 which is what the hair straightener retails for, cheaper hair straighteners usually come with a heatproof mat so it’s disappointing that one isn’t included with this one. It also comes with a storage pouch but it isn’t the best of quality, I’ve refrained from using it since I use my old hair straighteners heat proof mat which can wrap around the straightener. The pouch itself feels very low quality with a very thin polyester/plastic type fabric which feels as though it could rip after a few uses. Other than some of the setbacks, the hair straightener is a great product, it would just be better if a heatproof mat was included.

I was so pleasantly surprised when I opened these. They look really smart and expensive and feel sleek and luxurious. They heated up nice and quickly and you can see from the photos the difference they made to my hair in just a few minutes. I'm really impressed with them.

Good straightener. Variable heat settings which warm up really quickly. Offered various sulking techniques from poker straight to long lasting curls. The only negative was the static I experienced which I’ve not had with other makes.
