I use these Hunts diced tomatoes with garlic and basil when creating my meat sauce. I also use Hunt’s tomato paste and Hunt’s tomato sauce. The combination of these 3 products are a good base for my meat sauce. In a large sauté pan I sauté Vidalia onions, green, yellow and red bell peppers and garlic in olive oil, once these have softened I add fresh ground turkey, a dash of salt, oregano, basil, pepper and some Italian seasoning. Once turkey is browned I add the meat to the sauce base and simmer over low heat for as long as possible. This meal can be ready to eat in 30 mins over your choice of pasta but the sauce becomes more flavorful the longer you allow it to simmer.
