Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder
- "i use this as an all over face powder to add some sheen to the skin. it's not enough to be a highlight on its own for me personally. easy to use and blend, super finely milled. gorgeous product but you can get better for the price." in 75 reviews
- "hourglass seems to always get it right! while these powders may look a little glittery in the pan, i love them on the skin! great wear time and not in your face, seen from miles away shine " in 58 reviews
So I bought the mini size of this highlighter because the full-size is quite expensive and I wasn’t able to find it at a store near me so I had to order it online. I wanted to buy the small version first before I bought the full-size just to ensure that I liked it that much. So I have to say this highlighter is so freaking gorgeous. I bought both the incandescent as well as the brilliant. The texture is very fine and very velvety smooth. When I highlight I do not like a chunky thick cakey highlighter I like it to be glowing as well as bright. This highlighter applies so smoothly and gives the most beautiful glow. I will definitely be purchasing the full size of this highlighter probably in every color it is so worth the money I prefer this highlighter over any other highlighter I’ve tried on the market so far other than Mac soft and gentle mineralize highlighter that is still a great highlighter and is very similar to the hourglass.
I really love this strobe powder! The product claims to contains ultra-fine pearl particles that add a candlelit glow to the skin without looking glittery. This is totally up my alley as I usually prefer a more natural highlight. I don't particularly care for glitter or extremely shimmery highlighters on my face. I find that a few swipes of this powder along my cheek bone, bridge of nose, cupids bow and forehead provide such a beautiful glow from within look. These are pricey but I definitely think they are worth the splurge, especially if you are looking for a powder that is not glittery and is more natural and won't emphasize texture. If you like a more blinding highlight, this will not be for you. They do sell the mini sizes so if you are unsure, maybe check out on of the minis before committing to the full size product.

This is a NATURAL highlighter all the way. If you’re into a very slight glow, I recommend this. I actually don’t use this for highlight, but because it is more of a “dull” highlight, I use it for under my eyes to brighten when I don’t want insane flashback from baking! Love this, but the price point is a little high, which troubles me from recommending this to everyone. There are a lot of drugstore options, but if you’re willing to splurge and want something that lasts a long time and will give you a slightly healthy glow to your skin, I recommend this.
This product was quite the craze when I bought it, and quite honestly, it has a great powdery finish and nice soft glow, but, I do not use it on most of my face or for a highlighter on my cheek bones. I actually find that it works really well to set my undereye concealer and add a bit of brightness/luminosity while baking the concealer so that it doesn’t crease. Hides my dark circles well. Additionally, I use the more bronze color on my eyes when I’m in a hurry and not doing much other than adding a swipe of ambient powder and mascara before heading out. Worth the price tag, I wouldn’t buy it again, but I think that’s because I don’t use it all over my face. I’m very oily and this would just add to that. I like glowy, just not oily-glowy. O r Glass you shimmering thing I love you for my skin type in my age it works well I use it very lightly because I don't need too much if I was younger I would use a little bit more but that's the cool thing about this product is it doesn't overpower so you can layer and it doesn't look shimmery like sparkles or glitter it looks like moist or you know fresh finely milled powder that Shimmers
These powders are a DREAM! This color is a beautiful pink. It is very smooth and creamy and provides a great brightness and glow to your makeup look. It is very pigmented and gives you a lot of reflection. It goes on so smooth and doesn't really accentuate textured skin like some highlighters might do which I think it amazing. It even gives the illusion of smoother skin! This is one of my favorite and most treasured highlighters, and even though it might be a little pricy, I think it is wonderful!
I like the packaging on this highlighter. It’s pretty and I love the color of the highlighter itself. It’s a pretty peachy color that goes well with my warmer skin tone. I love that it isn’t too chunky or glittery. It gives an actual glow compared to some highlighters that make you look like you spread literal glitter all over your check bones.

Works on every skin tone. If you like a highlighter that’s not blinding this is it . It looks like the same glow a VS model has its perfect for that look. It brightens your own skin and reflects naturally. It’s not cakey and the particles aren’t thick either so it’s a natural application. Colour pay off is great you don’t need much either
This product is expensive and it’s not going to be a showstopper and stun crowds. But it does give a subtle highlight glow to your face. So can you do without this product...yes but it’s definitely nice to have this if you are able to afford more expensive makeup. Otherwise there are plenty of alternatives to this product.

Definitely loved this powder and how soft and velvety it is but my only complaint is that it kinda oxidized a little weird and just looked very Orange on my skin for some reason I don't know maybe I apply to much but every single time I've used this it left an orange cast or maybe it's just too dark for my skin
