I would recommend this. When covid hit and schools shut down. This was my go-to for my daughter it helped and daughter her up. It would let me know what she had to keep practicing.

We just started this a week ago and he already is learning sounds and to recognize letters better. He thinks it is boring compared to other games but i like it for him.

Hooked on phonics helped me myself to learn to read when I was a kid. And it is now helping my son how to read. We love how there are different things you can do to learn sight words.
