I just sold my 97 Honda Civic to...my boyfriend. So, we could keep it in the family. With regular maintenance, that car lasted me 15 years, and we expect to get another 3-5 out of it as an in-town driver. You can't beat the gas mileage, replacement parts are cheap and easy to come by if needed, it comfortably sat 4 adults with full knee range-of-motion(it's a little low for grandpa, but 30 somethings, no problem).
We bought our 2000 Honda CR-V used in 2007. It has put every other vehicle we have owned to shame! It has 216,000 miles on it and still runs like a top. My husband has owned many cars and says the truck is the easiest vehicle he has ever worked on, the parts are reasonable and it is clearly built to last. I would recommend Honda highly! I'm sure there is probably another hundred thousand miles in the Crv.
I've owned 3 Hondas so far. A 99 Accord. A 06 accord and now a 15 CRV. have loved every one! Honda is a reliable brand and ive never had a problem with them aside from wear and tear it eg vehicles. Costumer service at the dealerships for oil changes or tune ups are always great. Price point for the quality of vehicle is good. My CRV IS AWESOME! Nicely equipped with standard features like the rear view cam! It also has a "blind spot" cam that i would probably never live without now. Great gas mileage. Super spacious. I would recommend a Honda to everyone.
I have had a Honda Accord for years. My first one was a 1998 and it made it to 212,000 miles on the same engine before it was totaled but I know it would've lasted a lot longer. i currently have a 2010 accord and I can tell they are not built the same. Seems like the newer cars, although look nicer, they are not built as well. However, I hope the engine is still just as good as they used to be. I love the way Hondas look and they have a pretty good reputation. I couldn't see myself driving a different car as the moment. Hoping I can still say that in the next 5 years.
My first car was a 1995 Honda Fit in 2004. We got it for $1,500 from a police auction with over 300,000 miles. That piece of crap ran for several more years before it finally practically fell apart. I had to drive it a few miles each day over the course of a week to get it to Car Max so they could make me an offer. THEY OFFERED ME $1,700 WHICH IS $200 MORE THAN I PAID FOR IT! I have a Honda now I'll sell soon but only because I travel for work now and have to use a fleet car, but if a Honda was an option that is definitely what I would get! Honda forever!
I was dumb and traded in my 1997 Honda Prelude (which I had minimal wear/tear problems) for a 2001 VW Beetle. Granted, bugs are super cute but when you have problems (which you will!!) they are very expensive to fix! Finally after a 150,000 miles and thousands and thousands of dollars later on repairs I finally traded it in for a 2015 Honda Civic Coupe. I love my car!! I'll keep this one till the warranty is up and trade it in for an Accord Coupe.
I have the Honda 2015 Civic and this is my second one I had the 2011 civic coming from a BMW and I would highly recommend this vehicle anyone my only suggestion is to build your own on website not only do you get exactly what you want you can save serious $$ like I hate navigation system in vehicle so I upgraded sound package and truck package and sunroof all for less then someone telling me how to drive
A Honda was my first car. I learned how to drive on one and took it everywhere. The cr-v in particular is a phenomenal car. It's durable, spacious and offers great visibility for those who are shorter like me! Not to mention they retain their value super well and offer great gas mileage. No joke, once I averaged 42/mpg on a 200 mile road trip! I am now on my second Cr-v and don't plan to ever buy another car.
While on vacation in miami my sister who lives there told me I could use her car while she was away at work and I drove her 2015 Honda CRV now I am used to driving in small cars and this car from the outside looks small but when you actually get in it and drive you feel like your driving a truck I was a little nervous but I feel in love with this car! I am considering from switching from Nissan to Honda.
OK I give honda a 2 star and not a 1 star only because my husband is still alive and that is it! He was in a roll over flip over accident as you can see the front end was destroyed and the air bags didn't deploy. Then a week or two ago I watched a newer version of the car do the same thing and have the same results. Both my husband and the woman driving the new mottle where injured because the air bags didn't go off. With this in mind I after owning 4 honda's I will never own another.
