I called customer service and 2 hours later after I had been transferred from about 10 people who listened to my story and the told me it wasn't their problem, I found someone who told me to get the car fixed and they would reimburse me.in reviews
One time the brakes on my rental car were not working right I took the car right back and got a new one and they also cage me $100.00 credit for my next rental.in reviews
My company's preferred rental company is Hertz, and so I've always rented from them and collected points.in reviews
Their service is great and you can pay an underage fee if you are under 21 to rent a vehicle, unlike other car rental services.in reviews

I went to the customer service desk they were ready and found my information immediately, the car was well kept clean organized, they showed me how to use the car it was well supplied pack was full and ready to go didn't take long that was priceless.

Mom did not have a good experience with her recent rental with a Hertz in LA, CA. The car was very dirty and stained. Bc of covid you would think they would practice better hygiene but no. It was so gross but mom really needed a car while her car was in the shop so she couldn’t do much. I’ve attached a pic of how the seats looked. Yuck! Never again. IG @cheeriotheshibainu Hertz

Very sad to see that the company appears to have taken a hit (like so many others) with COVID happening and travel decreasing drastically. When the media released information related to filing chapter 11, I was afraid they would go out of business but appears the actions for now may just be downsizing or restructuring. I have been a Gold Plus Reward Presidents Circle customer for years and regularly rented across the US (including two Hawaiian islands) for company travel events as well as personal & family trips. Prices are very competitive and almost always less expensive than other companies I reviewed and Hertz had better car options for the money spent. The rewards program is very nice and we’ve earned many free rentals and discounts from other companies that Hertz partnered with for their customers’ benefit. Love the flexibility that Hertz provides for extensions as well as shortened durations, and changing vehicle needs, or otherwise. They are very accommodating and helpful whenever I needed to contact them for support or modify/cancel or create a reservation. They make you feel like a VIP in President’s Circle by not even having to check in at the front desk, ability to choose any car from certain sections and routinely have free upgrades. I hope this company can thrive and get through the economic struggles of current. I recommend Hertz to any and every person needing to obtain short or long term vehicle use!

Used this company to rent a car ( before pandemic) . It was okay. The vehicle was good. It served its purpose. It got us from point A to point B. No complaints really, but wasn’t really impressed either

I will never use hertz rental car. When I was driving from south Carolina to Pennsylvania the rental car I was given started having problems. I called customer service and they wanted me to drive the broken car 2 hours away from where I was. I couldn't do that BC there was a bad ice storm. The following morning when the roads cleared up I was going to the store. Went to start the car and it wouldn't start. I called and a tow truck came. I had to pay for a taxi to get a new car and then they over charged me by 300$ on my rental. Never again will I go with hertz!!! BEWARE

The worst rental. As experience in my life!! I was travelling to Indianapolis which is a 3 hour tops drive. We were on the road for an hour and our tire popped. We call hertz and they told us we should have a spare and they would send someone out to change it. There was no spare. We had to wait for a tow truck. It took 2 hours for someone to get there. They said that we would have to ride back with the tow truck driver! My friend and I were appalled two young women in a tow truck with a man we had next met before. He took us all the way back to the closest hertz which was back where we came from! We switched out cars and made it up to Indianapolis at 12am to be up and at training at 830am. No money back and no apology. Never again

Absolutely will never use this company again. Had a tire issue and contacted customer service about it. The only option they had to solve the issue was to use the donut to drive an hour (one way) to get an exchange vehicle. I could get AAA to put on the donut for me for an $80 charge. We found another solution and then asked for a partial refund for the 2 days we couldn't use it and we're told no.
