Concenté d'Orange Verte is a crisp, invigorating fragrance that beautifully blends fresh orange, green mint, and a touch of bitter orange, with a subtle earthy base of oakmoss and patchouli. Its zesty, clean profile makes it a perfect year-round scent, ideal for both men and women. The fragrance is light yet long-lasting (4-6 hours) with a soft sillage. The minimalist bottle reflects Hermès' refined elegance. A timeless, refreshing fragrance that’s both sophisticated and effortless.

Born in 1951 by Edmond Roudnitska, reformed several times by Jean C.Ellena. I came to Eau d'Hermes quite late, because it almost became extinct during the period when JCE took over Hermes with a series of trendy minimalist modern, youthful, floral scents. In fact, Edmond has followed the minimalist style very early - with depth - and "stickiness", in a period when perfumes were extremely complex with a series of interwoven notes, thick and thick base. First, let's talk about my experience with Eau d'Hermes. It is familiar in an... obvious way. Perhaps this is Edmond Roudnitska's signature DNA. Eau d'Hermes is as familiar as a bloodline with Rochas Femme, Diorella, Dior-Dior. Eau d'Hermes with Eau de Cologne concentration so the scent will be light and airy like cologne, but it is not completely fresh like Hermes Eau de cologne with full of green citrus notes, neroli. Eau d'Hermes is like describing the most outstanding things of Hermes, the most classic notes of Hermes under Edmond's hand. Cologne of course cannot lack citrus, especially lemon-orange mixed with warm spicy spicy just enough to make the background for citrus to shine in the first minutes. A citrus fruity feeling very Diorella, bright, then the spiciness gradually increases with cinnamon, the light sweetness of orange and spices blend together. Eau d'Hermes gradually gets warmer, the citrus scent gradually decreases but still has that shadow, the spice is warmer, citrus at this time...sweaty because cumin covers the entire sexy orange note. At this time the scent is extremely reminiscent of Rochas Femme eau de Cologne, with the typical spicy cumin. And then leather begins to appear, a much thinner and lighter leather than Bel Ami, somewhere with a hint of cigarette smoke. Citrus, spices, leather, tobacco...and Cumin. And when it all ends, the scent is only left with a warm spicy layer with cumin like sweat from the skin, hmmm...you can say cumin is human-animalic. It's not obvious, but when you start to feel it, you will find it very interesting with "boudoir" scents. Eau d'Hermes is quite similar to Guerlain's Jicky, in that...it inspires many of Hermes's later scents. Spicy Leather is made stronger to create Bel Ami, adding a lot of Herbal Citrus Oakmoss will create Equipage, and of course the Minimalist structure is still the path that Hermes follows until today. The above review is for the (old) version, pre - copper cap (2000)
