Tried something new on my hair(henna)… let’s just say it didn’t go as planned 😅
Has anyone ever had a hair disaster like this? What did you do?
Tips are welcome! 💇♀️✨
It's a good option if you want to avoid chemicals but colour wise, I have dark hair and it didn't show up or do much to change colour as I was expecting. It did nourish my hair and scalp and make my hair health but application was messy and tiring. Stained some clothes and hands. Wouldn't do it again
I have been using henna for years now, I buy mine at a local Indian grocery store. I purchase pure natural henna powder (anything the promises a colour that isn't red/orange has something other than henna in it so be aware of that). I love the Auburn colour I get with it, I love that it doesn't have a strong scent like hair dyes. It makes my hair shiny and less dry as well. I mix mine the night before I want to use it with some apple cider vinegar and water (an acid like vinegar or lemon is important to add). I leave it on my hair for 3-4 hours before washing it out, covered with a shower cap. Make sure to use vaseline around your hairline or it will stain your skin. Also, it can be hard to bleach out henna so the colour might not be easily changed if you change your mind
