Habitat builds homes for people in need. The people who receive these homes actually help in the construction process. This not only gives the new homeowner a place to live but also a sense of accomplishment and pride in their new homes. I worked for an organization that allowed us to volunteer to help construct the homes. It was a great experience, and hard work! Habitat has a large retail store in my area and they have some amazing deals on furniture, fixtures, home goods, etcetera that were received as donations. I highly recommend Habitat for Humanity!

Volunteered there and saw the impact that’s being made. Having a roof over your head is a basic right and this organization is providing that for so many people in need.

Habitat for Humanity is the organization that helps low income families as well as those in need to help them to make their house safe and livable. They also offer items in their local nonprofit stores at a price that’s affordable to anyone donating to Habitat for Humanity not only helps people like me, but it helps anyone who is down on the luck or just having a hard time to make sure their house is accessible and livable.
