Okay so here's the truth about Grindr. I don't care what anybody says or how anybody wants to market it. Grindr is there for only one purpose and that is hooking up. That is for gay men to hook up, contrary to the recent belief of some certain females hopping on. But you know what? There's nothing wrong with that. If you want to have consensual encounters and you are an adult making an adult choice and you can live with the consequences of that decision, then go for it and enjoy yourself. That said, like any of the dating apps, this platform is filled with game players, flakes that will never show, hustlers just wanting to get paid and the ones who want to party with enhancing substances. Now I've always been a big believer of letting your freak flag fly and enjoying yourself as long as you're not hurting yourself or anyone else. But that said, some of these guys are just mean and nasty for no reason. The only reason I have given this app the rating I have and that I can continue to use it is because over the years I have actually met a lot of very good friends. Because of this app I've had some good dates and bad, some fun encounters and others I wish I could forget. But the biggest reason of all that I can give this app. The rating I did is because I met my husband on this app. We've been married for over 3 years, almost 4, and couldn't be happier. And although we both belong to a few of the other apps around, This is one of them more active, more popular ones and who knows. We may not have met if it wasn't for Grindr. For that, I say thank you Grindr. Now after that thank you I say you guys need to climb off your big pedestal and get real about these prices You're charging. I don't know who actually pays these crazy rates for their membership, but I'll stick to free. It's just not worth the cost compared to the competition.
