I love frozen vegetables because the nutrients are freshly locked in at harvest. Peas are delicious in my opinion. Peas are a good source of vitamins C and E, zinc, and other antioxidants that strengthen your immune system. Other nutrients, such as vitamins A and B and coumestrol, help reduce inflammation and lower your risk of chronic conditions, including diabetes, heart disease, and arthritis. Little known fact most people don’t know, “PEA” stands for phenylethylamine. It is a hormone-like substance that is naturally produced in the brain and body. PEA has stimulating effects. It can improve mood, increase attention and energy, and promote a feeling of well-being. I grow my own and also buy frozen.
