We're stopping in Vegas first before heading to the Grand Canyon. Any attractions that I should see while I'm in Vegas?

Aside from all of the awesome attractions on the strip, I would recommend going to Lake Mead and renting a boat to spend a few hours on the water. It is an awesome lake with incredible views and you can even get pretty close to Hoover Dam.

Vegas is amazing. If you're a family go to MGM grand and check out the lions, if you're younger head to New York New York for a busy piano bar scene, if you're old check out Fremont Street for the classic Vegas experience (gambling is a little cheaper there too )

My family lived in Las Vegas for a year! There is free self-parking at the Bellagio on the strip if you want to just leave your car at a central hotel and then explore the other resorts and casinos. My favorite free sights on the strip are the Bellagio foundations and indoor garden, the shops at Caesar's Palace and Miracle Mile, and the inside decor of New York New York and Paris. If you are willing to pay, I recommend Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay and the rides at New York New York and Stratosphere. If you want to see old school Vegas, go to Fremont Street. Have a great trip!

If you want more of the "older Vegas" definitely head further down the strip to downtown.

Walk the whole strip, go to the sign, walk through the hotels, watch a couple shows, eat at celebrity chef restaurants and go to the Hoover dam!

The whole strip! For sure the fountains at Bellagio. I loved walking through all of the hotels and shopping! Fremont Street is awesome at night. Honestly there is so much to see and do you could never be bored there. My favorite hotels were the MGM, Mirage, Bellagio, Ceasars, and Treasure Island!
