I am by no means an expert when it comes to hair or styling it, but I do have a very specific style that I like for my hair. I wear my hair long and straight with two braids, one on each side. Because I straighten my hair and braid it so often, I have a lot of broken pieces up near the crown of my head. The thing I need to keep these broken pieces down is a really good pomade! I gave this one a go and I have to say it does work but it's not my favorite product. If you're looking for something to keep flyaways and small broken pieces of hair stuck down, this is definitely a product that would work for you. However, I don't like that it has a shiny finish. I find that pomades that have a shiny finish tend to look greasy or oily in the hair. When using this product I have to use the tiniest amount, Otherwise it looks like I haven't showered in days. The pomade itself has a very thick texture, exactly what you would want in a pomade. It smells rather pleasant and as I stated does keep flyaways at bay. I would say that this is a little bit less than a medium hold pomade, and I occasionally find I do have to reapply halfway through the day. This isn't like a gel or anything so I would not recommend it for any kind of style that is looking to hold hair in a specific place or direction (ie. Spiked or mohawk). I also like that it has a very pleasant scent that is not too overpowering. Overall, if you're just looking for something to tame unruly or frizzy hair I would recommend the got2b daring texturizing clay over this one as it has more of a matte finish and a bit of a stronger hold. I did use this product to completion but I would not purchase it again.
