I would not recommend this to anyone other than coarse or difficult hair. The iron is 1/2 inch, it doesn’t get very hot. Didn’t work on my curly hair.

I received this product to try on my daughters hair. She has thick curly hair that has different types of curls throughout. The under layer is tighter ringlets while the top is more of a looser ringlets. Other straighteners I’ve used left her hair frizzy after we were finished but the ceramic plates and small design let me get right to the scalp for a smoothing effect straight down her entire hair. And it only took 1-2 passes through to achieve the look she wanted.

I only have been using this for quick touchups at work after I go for a walk. I have yet to try this to style my entire head of of hair, but would imagine that it would take forever to do that due to the thin ceramic plates
