I became lactose intolerant about 10 years ago out of the blue. I had to quickly start finding things to help me continue to eat and drink milk and dairy products because no way was I going to completely give up the foods I've loved for the first 20 years of my life. I tried the mainstream and store brands but they are ridiculously expensive, so I happened upon these at a GNC many years ago and tried them. First the pill count per bottle is insane compared to the other brands. Second, they aren't individually wrapped which is less annoying when you are just trying to eat a snack, drink milk, or sit down to dinner. Third the pills are small so they are easy to take, they have zero taste, and you only need a few for a small amount of dairy.

For a cheese slice/stick I use about 2-3 pills. For small traces of dairy in medications or breads or a tiny bit of butter on toast- just 1 pill does it! For a glass of milk, I use about 6-8 just to be safe. For ice cream, i always take extra (about 10) to be ultra cautious - nobody wants to ruin there night for a food choice. I have somewhat severe intolerance to lactose so these are a miracle for me. I always stock up on sales, buying 6-10 at a time. One bottle usually lasts me a month, holidays 2 in a month. Plus buying lactose free milk helps to cut down the cost as it is readily available most places these days and not all that expensive.
