Product Description

Generation G. It’s a new kind of lip color that gives the look and finish of a stain, but that glides on and wears like a tinted balm. Because lipstick shouldn’t complicate your look. Premiering in four important shades designed to look amazing on everyone: two that subtly enhance your natural lip tone, and two for a more saturated look. The effect? Diffused, sheer matte goodness—just swipe it on. No liner, no blotting, no YouTube tutorial necessary.

Review for: Jam, Like, Zip more...
Absolutely a cult classic and staple in my lip routine. I can’t live without these, they are just too dependable. For the lighter colors (like), I can apply these without a mirror knowing I’ll get a flawless easy application. The darker colors (zip, jam) still manage to look like a natural stain, not like an intense lipstick. Pictures I take wearing these always turn out better than other lip products.

Really love the color. It’s the perfect shade for me - very natural but still gives me some color. It’s not really pigmented so if you’re on the look out for that then this isn’t the product for you. It’s like a lip balm where you need to apply several layers to get that stain on your lips. It also fades so you will need to reapply throughout the day. Also, obsessed with the packaging. ❤️

This is one of my favorite lippies for everyday looks. The color is subtle, and the shade Leo is the perfect sheer, brown nude for my olive skin tone! It does transfer a bit, but wears nicely throughout the day and doesn’t dry out lips. Overall a great product!

This is my go to lipstick when Im in a hurry but want to look a bit put together. The lippy is pigmented, giving a stained look. I like how you can build the color depending on what look youre going for. To apply, i feel like it is important to use it on exfoliated lips. Although it is not drying, it enhances dryness if that makes sense.

I purchased the shade Jam (after watching fifty shades darker, because this is the shade Ana wears during the masquerade ball and I was OBSESSED with the color!) and I love love love it!!! You can put it on alone for a beautiful wash of color or apply it over a lip liner for a more opaque color. It’s not drying and it lasts long!!

I love these! I like that it is buildable so the first swipe is very sheer and just gives you a nice tint and the more u apply the more opaque it becomes. The color range is nice. The only downside is the packaging is very flimsy. I know it’s supposed to be very minimalistic but the cap cracks so easily which causes it to fall off in my bag which results in the products getting in my other stuff. But I still like them enough to continue to buy them!

Review for: Jam, Crush more...
I have four colors of generation G and two are my absolute favorite lip products but the other two are kind of meh. Jam is a gorgeous matte purple that goes on like a balm with no shine and last several hours I love how it is sheer and you can still see your lips but it makes you look instantly pull together. Crush is a gorgeous dark hot ready pink that just makes you feel like summer as soon as you put it on. The red and brown shades released later aren’t as good for me, I can’t see the brown at all on my lips and the red isn’t a great red balm which is disappointing. I do want to try the colourpop blotted lips that should be a dupe.

These were just okay. They aren’t nearly as pigmented as marketed, but they are hydrating and a great tinted chapstick. The packaging is a little cheap, and I had two of mine fall apart within a couple of weeks which was a bummer. Luckily, the company resent a new tube for free! I would not repurchase.

This product is overall pretty good. I only give it 3 stars because it does not dry in my lips very good and it smudges and gets in your teeth. I revived this in my Ipsy and was excited to wear it because it was such a pretty color but i can’t wear it anymore because it comes off so easy.

I have two of these, and I love the way it looks. It's sheer enough to look like my lips just are that color -- but you should know, it does build! Once you layer the color, you can tell it's lipstick. My favorite usage is one or two swipes, infrequently reapplied (to prevent layering).

For some reason the surface of my generation G is really dry and seems to require some hard pressing for any product to get on my lips... does anyone else have this problem?

Does this lipstick cling to any dry patches on the lips? It's difficult to find a lipstick that doesn't do that, especially if it is matte.
