The Georgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation is a product that has earned permanent status in my makeup routine. I’ve tried plenty of foundations over the years, but this one is my favorite. The finish is absolutely beautiful - glowy and radiant without looking greasy or overly shiny. It gives my skin a healthy, natural-looking glow while still looking like skin. The coverage is lightweight but buildable, so I can keep it sheer or add a little more when I want extra coverage. What I love most is how effortlessly it blends and how comfortable it feels throughout the day. It never feels heavy or cakey, and it doesn’t emphasize texture or fine lines. My skin just looks smoother, more even, and naturally luminous. This product is a bit of a splurge, but the quality and finish make it worth it for me. If you’re looking for a foundation that gives that “your skin, but better” look, this is the best one I’ve found.

I have to say I truly don’t understand the hype over this product. First of all, I do not have sensitive skin at all, and I noticed a tingly almost burning sensation when I put this on right away. The finish was just okay, it wasn’t anything special in my opinion. I absolutely do not like perfumed or heavily scented products and the smell was too much in my opinion. The color range was so weird as well, I tried the lightest shade (shade 1) and it was too dark for me still. I later learned that the actual lightest shade is number 3.75 which makes no sense. I ended up returning the first shade and after quite a lot of time and seeing lots of positive reviews on this product, I caved and decided to give it another try in the shade 3.75. Of course my opinion did not change except the color was a better match. Save your money and don’t give in to the hype like I did (twice).

This foundation is my absolute favorite, it even replaces my favorite Forever Matte Dior foundation. It is so blendable, luminous, looks so natural as if you’re not wearing anything, it’s basically your skin but better. It never fails to make me look amazing. I think this is a great product to invest in because it is the base of your makeup. It also lasts all day, I did not have to reapply or anything, just make sure to set with powder as usual. It doesn’t have any sort of strong smell, no bad smell. Overall great, I’m just sad that they had to reformulate, I do sort of miss the old formula but still a very good foundation.
